"Im feeling pretty good about my commitment, but Im still listening to other colleges and what they have to offer," Bembry said. "Im just keeping an open mind. I think its the right thing to do because everyone has a pitch. If I was a coach, Id want an athlete to hear my pitch, so I try to put myself in their shoes. That lets me open up myself.
On possibly following Floyd and Carter:
The relationship with me and Georgia is pretty cool," Bembry said. "I went up there for their camp, and I liked it. They treated me well, and the showed me around campus. They have great facilities. I was with Coach (Glenn) Schumann, but they think Id be more of a Lorenzo Carter or Leonard Floyd type of guy. They want me to rush and a drop back into coverage.
That the Bulldogs would compare him to two of their top talents from recent years definitely caught the 6-foot-3, 210 pound defender's attention.
Its great, because Id be following two guys who are tremendous athletes," Bembry said. "One went to the Chicago Bears, so why not follow a great path? Who knows where Lorenzo could go? Those are two great guys to follow.
Bembry admits that there are other factors working in favor of the Bulldogs.
I picked up the offer in March or April," he said. "It meant a lot, because you know youve got the support from the people in-state, and its not too far from home. Itd be easy for family to come see you."-Rivals
Sounds to me he is just being polite, he did say they will get an OV.
