But it's kinda ridiculous when you get called a short sighted loser, mouth breather, etc. just for having a generally negative view on Butch based on the shortcomings of this season, plus the way we lost same games last year, & the way this recruiting class is shaping up.

Honestly, I have a generally negative outlook on Butch, his shortcomings, his coaching, player development and at this point I'm even skeptical of his recruiting. The difference is I don't feel the need to repeat that over and over in every single thread on Volnation.

And yes, I'm talking about the ones who go out of their way to be negative.

Not only that, then to act all innocent. At least own it. Don't play the victim card. Half the time I don't even think they believe what they are saying.

I would hope that's the case... But Mahoney hasn't done anything in his tenure here that makes me think this O-Line will actually progress in the off-season.

Appreciate that Mark and I definitely agree I've been more negative than usual..not something I enjoy. Just lost faith in Butch after the USCe & Vandy losses.

The posters that can't keep a level head and are always doom & gloom & obvious trolls are not the posters I'd referring to. I find it just as ridiculous as everyone else.

I've said it before, I'll never take anything personal that someone says to me on a message board. At the end of the day we're all humans behind a phone/computer screen that have to deal with our own personal problems. Kinda the reason I don't get all the hate sometimes..ya never know what someone may be going through.

Stated that as long as Butch is still the coach, I'd support him...got called a Nazi. Ugly stuff on here sometimes.

I try to post like I was sitting at a bar face to face. With respect. It doesn't mean I won't come back at you, but if a man is willing to be open minded, I'm game to discuss. The whole "if you don't see it my way then you're an idiot (pumper, et al) is what gets me riled up.

I suspect that in an actual conversation more of us would be in agreement than we realize.

Full disclosure, while I'm skeptical of Butch right now, I do see enough positives that I'm holding out hope that changes are made to right the ship and he ultimately is very successful here.

That seems to be pretty accurate info. He is going to take all his visits. Besides the package deal with KY the other sticky part is Martinez. Corker would come here only if Martinez is still on staff. I know several folks on here are saying that Martinez lost him but it seems like the opposite is true.

I think you're correct on the Martinez part.

Thigpen was his lead recruiter. Surprised for sure.

Speed is the backup right now and maybe Zyon Gilbert.

Sometimes I have to come out of the shadows to ask if the entire thread is blue font .. We're melting down because a 3* recruit named Yusuf Corker chose UK? Good luck to the kid but guessing we survive this massive loss.. The 10% reacts exactly as expected.....

The staff said we need one more CB. We missed on our top remaining targets of Nixon to Scar(wow) and now Corker to freaking UK.

We now are scrambling to find a replacement (according to LWS). We will now likely have to settle for someone even lower ranked.

I honestly think if you got me, Ron, Laager and yourself together with chavis, AmazingGrace, and maybe even McGhee along with maybe a few others in their camp together in a room we would agree on most everything.

The difference is what we focus on. I always liked recruiting because it's the future of the program. The future is still bright right now. With or without Butch.

Yeah but it's not make or break either way. Mountain out of a mole hill.

I wanted us to land him because clearly the staff wanted him. February is a long ways away. We will find a replacement for him.
