The talent is there it just needs to be coached up. New DB coach will get us there.

Edit: forgot Abernathy 4* so that's 14 guys in the secondary counting newcomers. Over half of those are 4*'s or higher. So yes talent is definitely there.

He should be able too. I don't see how he couldn't after what he did for unc. Our dbs aren't extremely Lame they just need better technique and better coaching which he should provide.

God help us at CB if Warren can't coach up Moseley and Martin. They were both terrible last season. Martin has never lived up to the hype and Moseley has probably topped out from a talent standpoint. Without better coaching, I expect them to be the biggest team weakness next season.

Only way they move Byrd to CB is if he is going to be a starter

That is likely. I just think they give the 2 seniors the first crack at starting. And I could see them using Byrd like Adoree Jackson in reverse. He starts WR but also plays some snaps at CB. And if Moseley or Martin struggle, move him full-time to starter at CB with only some snaps at WR.

I could see him being lot go of in the off season. He went the Juco route after apparently not making good enough grades at HS as far as I can tell. He went to my HS... it was REALLY easy to pass classes there.

Idk if Kelly has the physicality to play LB though. Maybe if Shoop goes back to using a SS/OLB hybrid position he'd fit there

In 2015 what games did look garbage in? He and Sutton were causing headaches with tight coverage late in the year.

Exactly, late in the year. It took him a while to get to that point. What happened between the end of the 2015 season and 2016 to cause him to be so awful last season?
