'17 GA LB Jaquan Henderson (Former UT commit)

Funny. He's one of my favorites today. I think he'll explode.

I think Tucker at LT, will be our cornerstone, in a couple years. He's prob my favorite commit of the day. We need that amazing LT to protect our QB's blind side!

Based on offer list alone, Coleman is the only one that is a little concerning

I can understand this line of thinking based off of their offers

Funny. He's one of my favorites today. I think he'll explode.

But I'm leaning more towards this based off of his measurable's and film. I'm not sure he's my favorite of the day but I'm excited to see what happens with him.

I agree we don't need to load up on 3* players but I trust our scouting department and butch. Moderation is the key and we would be stupid to think all of these guys will be in the 2017 class come January or February.

I really like the Henderson, Fant, Bumphus, Jackson and Tucker commits. Also Taylor for 2018 is a great pickup.

Not sure how to feel about the Lawson commit.

Also not digging the Coleman commit.

Hopefully will be able to watch more film tomorrow but we have seen the player development from this staff.

Also does anyone know how many spots we have in this class? 23-25??

Coleman is one of the more intriguing ones to me. He's got the size and he's got some nasty in him. We'll see how he works out, but I'm looking forward to seeing it. All part of recruiting IMO. Sometimes you just cast the line and see what you get, then you see what you can do with what you get.

Besides....I read in one of these threads where they interviewed one of the talking heads somewhere. He said that while several of the other SEC schools in fact have pulled better classes along the way, our staff seems to be better at developing players.

Don't doubt this. Bob Welton and the rest of the scouting department do a great job. A good balance is all I ask.

i dont know why everyone is complaining. We had a really good day and still have spots left for some big timers. Its all positive.

This....this.....Mother F***ing this!!

I've watched UT football since I was 6 years old and have followed recruiting since I was 12 (42/40 yrs). This is part of the fun of recruiting. Watching all the twists and turns that develop. It really isn't for the feint of heart, but if you understand it and love following it, man it's fun. You have to know that we're going to win some and we're going to lose some.

We have a Master of recruiting as a coach. Even better we have a staff that can develop the players we do get.

Understandable. I think we're fine, but can see where people would feel the way you do. At least you're not being a dic* about it like some are.

Moderation. I really like some of the players but don't know how to feel about the others. Cam Sutton, Wiesman, Hall, Vereen, Vickers and others have made me realize stars don't determine everything.

I know saban only gives a few commitable offers to three star players each year, & we have played them tough the past few years with several three star players in our starting rotation. Our coaching staff must be doing something right!

First time watching his highlights. Dude can play. Great fit for Shoop defense similar to Quarte Sapp. Athletic kid you put in a lot of spots and don't have to take off field since he can cover too.

Just watched his film and wow! I'm no talent evaluator but he is very fast, shows great play recognition and instincts, he may be my favorite recruit so far. I think he'll be very good for us.

Not all the guys committed now will be here on signing day either. I'd say 2-3 will change schools or will be told to look around due to higher level targets.

Only player I don't get is Trey Coleman. Not super excited about him.
