Based on offer list alone, Coleman is the only one that is a little concerning
Funny. He's one of my favorites today. I think he'll explode.
I agree we don't need to load up on 3* players but I trust our scouting department and butch. Moderation is the key and we would be stupid to think all of these guys will be in the 2017 class come January or February.
I really like the Henderson, Fant, Bumphus, Jackson and Tucker commits. Also Taylor for 2018 is a great pickup.
Not sure how to feel about the Lawson commit.
Also not digging the Coleman commit.
Hopefully will be able to watch more film tomorrow but we have seen the player development from this staff.
Also does anyone know how many spots we have in this class? 23-25??
Don't doubt this. Bob Welton and the rest of the scouting department do a great job. A good balance is all I ask.Coleman is one of the more intriguing ones to me. He's got the size and he's got some nasty in him. We'll see how he works out, but I'm looking forward to seeing it. All part of recruiting IMO. Sometimes you just cast the line and see what you get, then you see what you can do with what you get.
Besides....I read in one of these threads where they interviewed one of the talking heads somewhere. He said that while several of the other SEC schools in fact have pulled better classes along the way, our staff seems to be better at developing players.
i dont know why everyone is complaining. We had a really good day and still have spots left for some big timers. Its all positive.
Understandable. I think we're fine, but can see where people would feel the way you do. At least you're not being a dic* about it like some are.
