I don't know what it will take to get people to realize that we are losing out on some major recruiting battles here. We are Tennessee and we should NEVER be satisfied with taking a backseat to anyone. Losing Beal is a big deal and it doesn't sit well with me.

We were never in this recruitment. Lol. This is like picking a random five star and getting mad he didn't come here. He showed very little interest in Tennessee

Think whatever you want. But we have missed on more than one.

One of this magnitude. This is the biggest and most impactful miss of the Butch Jones era. The others have been for the most part replaceable. A 5* WR 15 minutes down the road isn't as replaceable but with the right pieces is.

The nightmare continues. We will not be anywhere close to UGA in the rankings when all is said and done. Butch better win this year because it is going to be the last time he can out talent other teams. Going forward he is toast and has put together a joke of a recruiting class so far and the better players are coming off the board fast. Just a horrible job by Butch and his staff. Not the recruiter we thought he was and he isn't a great game coach either. If you want a lot of slogans he is your man though.
are u crying?

I have never put anyone on ignore, but today has me thinking about more than one poster. My gosh, some people live miserable lives.

Butch isn't the recruiter we thought he was? Our roster is loaded because of him.

I don't see anything good about the way Butch is missing out on top prospects THIS year. We have lost Johnson, Higgins, Richardson, Rodgers. Most likely Stevens ends up elsewhere. How many of these guys can we lose and still come up with an elite recruiting class?

240 posts in two years, and I would estimate about 40 of them have been in the last 5 days. You must be one of those SGM-VOLS type of trolls who only crawls out when there's a setback.

You can stick you head in the sand if you like and pretend this class is going well. I am just calling it like I see it. Now that we have settled the Title IX lawsuit we might see things change, but for now this class remains a huge disappointment.

I think those saying the lawsuit was affecting recruiting were looking for an excuse. It just doesn't make any sense. No coaches jobs in danger, no losing scholarships, no bowl ban. How would it affect recruiting? No, not buying it.

We won't be a top 10 class this year. Fans can say it all they want, but I think it's quite clear the staff is struggling. The scary thing is they are struggling after the best year UT has had in years on the field. Definitely cause for concern.

Most telling everyone to be quiet, wait till NSD, are the ones who swore we would have a top 10 class last year. Some mentioned we would be signing closer to 20 than a full 25. They swore it didn't matter. We'll still be top 10. Obviously we weren't.

As for Beal, we were never even remotely in this one.

I used to think I had a somewhat negative outlook on life; then I joined Volnation. My goodness, some people need to rethink their priorities.

They out recruited us last cycle for sure and there is ton of optomism in the program now we have to win to get back to top 5 classes and now title 9 is over will help as well

If you talk to the recruits, other coaches and parents, the lawsuit was a big deal. All the teams in the SEC except Vanderbilt Clemson, and VT have been using it against us. Rave on if you wish, but you are wrong on this one.

Well it's been about 24 hrs since it was settled. As expected, the outcome has no recruiting sanctions at all and all the coaches kept their jobs. So the 4-5*'s should be rolling in any second now. "Open the gates"!
