'17 GA WR Jeremiah Holloman

UGA not going to come out of the blocks hitting on all cylinders. Not with an entirely new staff, and questions on both sides of the ball, but especially at QB and the injury to Michel and the uncertainty with Chubb's return.

And UNC will be pretty good, IMO. I would not be surprised if the Tarheels won.

UNC is replacing a 3 yr starter at QB themselves in addition to 2 OL and the schools all time leading WR in Quinshad Davis. Their offense may take a step back in 2016.

Dawg fans are coming out of the woodworks onto this board.

Making themselves right at home too. Gonna be a lot of poop to scoop when they bolt after we smack them on the nose with a newspaper this fall.

Don't act like these guys are moving from all over for the place for the great education. Grayson is a good school, sure, but it's just as good as Brookwood or North or Mill Creek. Shoot, Meadowcreek has some of the highest SAT scores in the state. They're not exactly a powerhouse, are they?

You know why they're coming to Grayson. "If you can't beat em, join em" happens everywhere now. Same thing as Durant going to Golden State. Lebron to Miami. It happens at Tucker, Norcross, and Stephenson. People want to win the easy way.

Don't be naïve, GreysonDawg. Hey, at least this way you get to follow recruiting for both UGA and Grayson!

Regardless of their motives, it's not cheating and perfectly within the rules. Clearly some of these kids wanted to play together their senior year. Dixon and Gibbs come to mind as they are best friends. It wouldn't surprise me if some wanted to get away from their current coach. Some of the coaches around here have huge egos and don't know what they're doing. I've seen this first hand in other sports. The HS athlete - HS coach relationship is a pet peeve of mine. HS athletes are stuck playing for the coaches at their school district regardless of the coach's qualifications or character traits. The coaches know this and many take a "my way or the high way" approach to coaching. I'm glad to see the County allows parents the freedom to move to another district where their kids can possibly get better coaching. HS sports is not like travel ball or college sports where you can play for whatever team you want regardless of where you live.

Football is all about match ups and UNC lost their two very experienced and talented senior LBs. The players behind them don't have a lot of experience. I don't know what Chaney is going to do with the offense, but LBs are very susceptible to the play action pass. UGA's strongest position group is probably the TEs...and RB when Chubb and Sony are healthy. On paper UGA's TEs should be open all game as well as the slot receivers. UNC had trouble with the short passes against Clemson last year, and that was with their two experienced senior LBs. With that said, I have no idea who is going to win. UGA may have some D-Linemen suspended for that game which could affect the outcome of the game if the UGA offense can't stay on the field. I do think their OL may have problems with Georgia's pass rush.

But Chizic has built a very nice defense. And the offense does have RB Elijah Hood returning.

I'll give you this: Newton's coach is a grade A d!ck. Talks smack to other teams during pregame warmups. Dances and hops around wearing earbuds while his team is warming up. Carries a sledgehammer to midfield before games. I coached with a guy that played for him, and his stories were ridiculous. Dude talks smack to his own players, tries to pop guys with dummies. Obviously trying to relive some glory days or something like that.

Other than that, most all coaches I've associated with truly care about their players, as well as their well-being and futures. You don't think Butch Jones or Kirby Smart take a "my way or the highway approach?"

Again, don't be naïve. Recruiting happens, mostly at the middle school level. Most of the transfers and moves happen between 8th and 9th grade. But again, you're in denial if you think all these guys, who just happen to be blue chip prospects, and their parents have just picked up and moved, and it just happens to be in Grayson. At best, they want to win the easy way. At worst, and certainly a distinct possibility, there's something fishy going on.

UNC's offense will have no problem with putting points on UGA defense....which was one of the most overrated last year...especially pass defense. I think this is gonna be a close....high scoring game.

Even though they lost Quinshad Davis to the NFL....they still have Ryan Switzer who can tear it up in the slot. Fedora has no problem with producing good offenses year in and year out. It's the defenses that are the problem. With another year under Chili's belt they should be better. Hell, if their defense was just average last year they would have beaten Clemson and made into the playoffs.

Their best WR is Mack Hollins IMO. Led nation in YPC last season and led team in TD recs. Also have Bug Howard available at WR, and Juval Mollette enrolled early. All 3 are 6-4 or taller and Hollins has crazy deep speed. Mitch Trubisky has looked good in spring and summer, and he certainly won't have a shortage of targets, plus Switzer in slot and Hood at RB. That UGA game could be a shootout.

I wouldnt sleep on Trubisky, his numbers were better than marquise's. He has experience in fedoras system so I think he will be good. they played alot of freshmen last year and chizik doubled down on the bend but dont break style. secondary is good, the DL was bad in run defense, and tho they must replace 2 LB's , the young guys have logged alot of time. Trubisky will get 300... if the D can hold them to 24 they win

Got a huge bump on the normal 247 rankings. Up into the top 100. Maybe if UGA underachieves this year and we live up to the hype he'll reconsider
