'17 GA WR Jeremiah Holloman

It's not naive at all. College coaches don't like kids quitting high school at all for whatever reasons.

Quit making assumptions. You have no clue what happened and your speculation will only lead to ill advised comments about their character that we have no evidence to support. Just let this be until Fort or one of the VQ guys chime in with some actual facts. Thanks buddy!!

I'm not making assumptions Glicht am I? They did QUIT the team right? I also know college coaches do not like that.

Go grab a handful of them & ask them what they think about a kid quitting a football team? I'm not making any assumptions there buddy. That's unless this rumor of them quitting isn't true at all. Then, I will promise to apologize for any comments that I have made about the situation.

So, let's suppose the coach was asking the players to do something unethical or immoral, or the coach was accused of some type of misconduct (physical contact with a player). Then a player quits. You still casting that wide net?

Parents aren't happy with the coaching staff, haven't been all year. Unless he has a major injury or fails every class this semester, he'll be playing in the SEC.

Now, that's a different story & these things can happen. That's not the kids fault. That's on the coaches. I'm just saying in general terms college coaches don't like kids quitting on high school football or any other sports team.

That's all that I'm trying to say. If this is something on the coaches then that turns the whole thinking around for me & many others as well. Thanks!

You don't have a lot of posts so do you have any sources on the situation buddy? We really need trustworthy sources before we all make any judgements on this.

That's why people are saying you're making a lot of assumptions. It certainly appears you are assuming these kids quit solely because they are quitters, and that they won't play anywhere of note as a result.

Is he a Georgia lock like their fans seem to think or does Tennessee have a real chance? He had to have been impressed with how we threw the ball all over the place on Saturday. I'd say that is a definite sign of things to come with our QB's on the future roster.

Sept. 26 update: Jeremiah Holloman’s recruitment has been very fluid for months. He was committed to Michigan, but Miami is coming on strong. He took an official visit to Notre Dame, and he is still listing schools like Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee high on his list. This one has gone back and forth between Georgia and Tennessee. He was recently in Athens, Ga., he was in Knoxville, Tenn., over the weekend, and it is a battle between those two right now. Slight edge goes to the Vols due to their consistency.

So when Jalen Hurd left his HS team after game 1 to have some surgery that could have waited until the end of the season, do you think CBJ didn't like it?

Let's let all that go. It's a couple pages back now. It's done & over with. I already said if these two kids were mistreated then it's a different story. Thanks!

Question on 247:

I've read a few places over the past couple of days that Holloman is not a UGA lock anymore. Where do you think we stand, there?

Callahan's response:

I think Tennessee still has a legitimate shot there. I've heard some of the same rumblings, but not sure yet how much legitimacy there is to them. But I've never counted out the Vols in that one.
