'17 GA WR Jeremiah Holloman

You can spin stats to parents however you like to your advantage. With our inept passing game so far this season we can still brag that Josh Malone has two TD receptions already and leads the SEC in yards per reception. You can also say that Holloman is a better version of Malone at this stage of his career. We're very much still in this one.

You can also point out that what happens this year has absolutely no bearing on what will happen next year. Josh Dobbs is a senior.

I am also pretty sure that a coach is not going to sell a recruit by comparing him favorably to a player on the current roster. That would be the height of stupidity.

Exactly. And what's interesting to me is that the team we are competing against (UGA) for him can't throw the ball at all either.

What you just said was stupid because are we not trying to sell Akers and Chandler on being the next Hurd and Kamara?

I'll be honest...with Murphy blowing up and Cotman likely being a WR here I couldn't care less about adding another WR in this class...unless one of our guys decommits...I feel that good about Jones, Cotman, Murphy and Fant...as well as the young guys on our roster

Hahaha, competition for QB will be very open. They are trying to redshirt JG and has still found his way into the depth chart as basically a co-backup. If Dormandy starts it will be because he out performed JG. So if it's that much of a definite, you give me 3-1 odds on JG being the starter next season? If there is an injury to either player then the bet is off. Sounds like a good bet for you based on your opinion, no?

Why do you need 3-1 odds? I'll bet you straight up if Dormady is available game one next year, he starts.

Well since our backup QBs barely get a chance to play because we cannot blow out teams we are supposed to and even when they are in they are not allowed to throw, what QB can you sell recruits on?

I dont know about that. I heard on vol sports radio where his mom talked about how important throwing the ball is to his recruitment. Now she did say she loves Tennessee and the coaching staff, but our inept passing game may hamper us severely here.

Remember, Dobbs is a Senior.

Not sure which comment you think is stupid, but Dobbs is a senior and how he throws will have no bearing on whop Holloman chooses.

Secondly, there is a huge difference between selling Ty Chandler and Cam Akers on having an opportunity to become the next Alvin Kamara and Jalen Hurd and telling Holloman that he is already better than Josh Malone. In my opinion, a coach would be absurdly stupid to tell a high school senior that he is a better receiver than a college junior who is leading our team in receiving and has been our big play receiver this season.

Would also make the coach look bad if in three years he couldn't turn a former 5* recruit into a receiver better than all HS players.

The point was he was a better version of Josh Malone at the same point in their careers (both as a high school senior). For you to even interpret what I said as he is better than our top receiver who is also a junior in college is stupid.

Rumor is Holloman (and teammate Henderson) quit his team.

I think we will possibly end up letting Henderson go anyhow. This certainly makes the decision easier. Holloman though was still on our radar.

We had a shot a possibly getting him but again doing this by these two guys may just makes things easier on CBJ.

My guess is something has happened with the coaches. Somebody mentioned maybe they didn't want to stand for the National Anthem but that's probably not it. I would say the coaches pissed them off somehow though.

Not good for them though when it comes to playing college football somewhere now. College coaches don't like quitters so I'd say neither one of them will be signed anywhere unless it's one of the smaller schools now.
