UGA lurker here, like to read the board but this is my first post.

Came over looking to see what y'all were hearing on Holloman, most UGA folks think he's trending towards UT now and aren't too optimistic.

BTW, not here to flame, just like recruiting. Cheers!

Welcome.

I hope the UGA folks are correct. I would love for Holloman to be a part of this class. Last news I heard on him, he does seem pretty high on TN. It's recruiting though and these guys are 17ish, so that could change at anytime.

Are we getting another reasonable UGA fan poster on VN?!? Wow.

And not much talk on this recruit considering the positive vibes on him just a week ago from Austin Price. If we finish with a WR class that includes Higgins, Holloman, and Fant, that's big time. KD Nixon looked great at the 5-Star Challenge and could be an ideal fit in this offense, although his size would seem limiting (appears to be proving this wrong).

Back to Holloman, he may be the best WR in GA. He may also still be underrated as a fringe top250 player. Would be great to get him. Hopefully Eason doesn't light the sky up his true freshmen season and turn momentum.

He really might be. Woody over on Rivals isn't too high on him, but a lot of others are, particularly on 247 (at least the 247 UGA staff)

He is probably the 4th or 5th guy on UGA's board ATM, but the top 2 or 3 are pipe dreams so he's an important recruit.

I'm not knocking Nixon at all, but his type do very well at those types of events.

DeAnthony Arnett looked springy as a kangaroo in his camp films, but had virtually no production as a college player.

Speaking of which, here is a little snippet on Arnett.

He caught more passes as a freshman at Tennessee than he did in the next four years combined at Michigan State. His 24 receptions for 282 yards and two touchdowns were the second most for a freshman in Tennessee history.

Great contribution and I couldn't agree more. I stated my opinion on KD in his thread (did not want to steer conversation in Holloman's thread away from him bc he's worthy of discussing himself). Check out my post in the KD thread and feel free to chime in. I'm pretty sure we suspect the same scenario with KD.

Holloman would be a terrific recruit to sign and I hope (and think) we do!

Not coming from any inside source, obviously, but I think Holloman will be the only non-Tennessee-based athlete to commit to UT this weekend.

I think he waits but I think UT has a great shot at him. I wonder how many WRs we would take? 4?

I'm not sure what OCD is, but I assume it is like Auburn's Big Cat Weekend or our old Dawg Night. He didn't commit at Big Cat, but I don't think Auburn is a player for him. UT is, so its possible:dunno:

And thanks, Kirby is doing well right now. Early days, though, we'll have to see where we're at come February.
