'17 GA WR Justin Marshall (Louisville commit)

Hope he commits just so crunchy Leb and eastside can cry about it. The kid can play.

I've said he can ball. Talented guy. I'm just not sure he's a take over the WRs we've got. I wouldn't trade him for Fant or Murphy. Maybe Jones, but I'm on the fence there. I'd guess it's Louisville.

How many WRs are we taking this class? We are making a lot of assumptions based on a number we don't know to be correct. CBJ likes atleast 12 WRs on scholarship. We have 9 right now. We lose Josh Smith. That's 4 open spots to fill. CZA has stated that 15 is the ideal number with red shirts and all. That possibly 7 spots depending on how they want to work these numbers. I like this kid, Payton, and Holloman. I think they are all takes and we will make numbers work. Butch Stones, folks. He gud.

I think 12 is more the number we are looking for.

We don't lose Josh Smith this year unless you are saying he's entering in the draft?

Does seem like Josh Smith has been here coming up on his 6th season doesn't it? He's got to be 25 years old! :p:)

I'm not seeing it the way you guys are. . . Smith had one season of the dropsies (in which he was battling injuries), one season cut short by ankle injury, and one solid productive season.

I think think this kid would be a great pickup...4* on Rivals and ESPN...mid-3* on 247 and Scout...making him a composite high-3*...and good season will bump him to a composite 4* (for the start gazers)....

Oh yeah...I like his game too...compares to Marquez Callaway IMO

Will be interesting to see what happens if his visit goes well. Everyone is saying that Louisville is the team to beat but Marshall is good friends with Mo Burnam and is a teammate of Jaquan Henderson. Would seem to give us the advantage.

I get the feeling like his top choice is slow playing him, whoever that is. He delayed his announcement now a couple weeks but said he'll still take more visits including his OVs. I think he knows he is being slow played and IMO he should not set a date to commit if he knows he's willing to wait on a certain school. Maybe setting a new date was his small window for his #1 to take him or he'll got with his #2. Still taking visits though tells me #1 could still grab him late.

Why are you quoting me on Josh Smith? I ONLY said it seemed like he had been here a long time. Nothing more was intended by my post. I didn't say anything about his game or injuries or anything else. Thanks!

Many may not like what I have to say, but I am being honest. I think that this guy is average and is not worth taking at this point in the year. A 3* is about right in my opinion. I am alright with taking some 3* developmental players, but those need to be had early on. If we get another WR I would rather hold off for Holloman or another player who is at least a 4* player in my mind.

For the record, I really, really like Jordan Murphy who I think is a borderline 5* player. Also, I like our other WR commit, Princeton Fant, and am excited to see how he performs this year coming off injury. He looks to have plenty of potential.
