Got a buddy who's a huge Dame fan, and a recruitnik like most of us here.

He says it's over. And he's usually one to hedge his bets.

It's probably a dream for most IN kids to go to Notre Dame. I feel good about our QB situation going forward if we lose out on him.

Does he have inside sources? If not, then it means nothing. I know many here were confident we would get BJ Emmons after he decommited from Georgia, but he just went to Alabama. Nobody knows what these kids will ultimately do other than those close to them. I'd say I like our chances just as much as your friend given how many times this kid has come down to Knoxville.

Yes, you're right.

It doesn't mean anything at this point. But, the ND boards have insiders, just like ours here, and apparently a few of them are calling it.

Anything can happen. But, they are quite confident at this point. That's it.

Imagine OV, GFW, & NotoriousRPP all saying the same thing about a kid. Would you be confident?

I hope his guys are wrong :)

He didn't say. But he did say he might decide fairly soon. Said his dad has always been a "big Tennessee fan," too. Tough to not say the Vols aren't at least in a pretty good shape there.

If this kid commits to us this early, we might get the ball rolling on that epic 2017 class soon. It might start a casade that leads to guys like Tee Higgins committing as well.

Its crazy how things just seem to be falling in place for us right now. Jarrett's dad was close to Butch when they were at Rutgers and that got us in with them. Hunter's dad is a long time UT fan. Trevor Lawrence (2018) is from a family of Vol fans. Plus it seems like each season there is a big time legacy recruit. Bates and TKJ in 2014. Kahlil in 2015. Nigel in 2016. Gibbs in 2017.

I'm a big believer in destiny and fate. It just might be our time now. :dance2:
