I recall there being doubt because of two other undefeated teams that, frankly, lost when they shouldn't have. Maybe that was just ESPN hype, but I recall it taking the late defeats to seal the deal. But if others remember it taking no breaks in the last few games, I'm not going to argue it. I recall it differently.

Your recollection is correct. It was widely speculated that we would slip behind both Kansas State and UCLA in the final BCS rankings if they didn't lose, simply because our strength of schedule would take a hit as a result of playing our traditional cupcakes at the end of the season, Kentucky and Vandy. In my opinion, 'twas badly flawed logic but the proverbial talking heads were mouthing that scenario as being likely.

I went from my seat to the concession stand to watch the OSU game. I wasn't nervous about our game but I sure was on pins and needles with the other one. As I recall OSU had the ball and threw an interception to end the game.

He came to our camp in St. Louis earlier in the month and he really impressed me with his arm strength. I still think he's learning when to really fire it in and when to take some off, but for seeing him and comparing him with some of the other top guys in 2017 there's a reason he's right up there.
