ND now says Hunter is coming back their way. Wilfong said he couldn't say why but crystal ball to ND.

Some of their posters are saying it's because TN is getting the #1 QB in 18.

Witfog says ND is very confident they have overcome the TN visit now. They were worried but apparently had a talk to smooth over some things. He is setting up a visit for Nd soon. Unfortunately he is usually spot on with Indiana kids. I think he just really likes the fact they aren't taking a QB this class for him

Apparently, he wanted to commit coming out of Orange Carpet Day.

Notre Dame somehow got their hooks back in him, and appears to have weathered the storm. For now...

Need to get him back on campus as much as possible. Need a home run OV as well.

His parents and Hunter were blown away by everything at Tennessee. After getting days away from the visit (and this is very normal), I think the emotions have settled down a little bit and I won't be surprised if Hunter goes through the recruiting process as he obviously has plenty of time. I think Tennessee is in it till the end.

ND just got a QB commit for 2016. Witfong posted something about if it affects Hunter's recruitment but its for subscribers only.

The addition of Book absolutely will not play a role in the decision of five-star quarterback Hunter Johnson. Every school Johnson is considering — Notre Dame, Tennessee, N.C. State and Stanford — all have quarterbacks committed in 2016. Johnson's decision will be about academics, football, and relationships with the coaching staff. In the end, he will end up at the place where he is most comfortable and the happiest. If Johnson feels he will best succeed at Notre Dame, both on and off the field, that is where he will end up.

He claims it doesn't affect Hunter and that their OC let Hunter know before hand that it was coming. He is still leaning ND for his prediction.

He can't/won't say why he all of a sudden is more confident in ND than he was initially after the TN visit. It kinda sounds a bit shady to me to be honest

I get all the "shady" stuff but opposing fanbases pull that out every time we make a top prospect's list. We want HJ to be a part of this great wave we got going and if he signs up with us it'll be because he sees himself here...and the same goes the other way. Not because he liked our $1000.00 gift card better than Notre Dame's. :)

I called ND before because my in laws all live in Brownsburg and know his dad. I think ND wins out in the end but not as confident in that as before. Love Butch's recruiting.

Also, I think JG hurts our chances a smidge.

Would love to get him but I feel pretty good about Lawrence in 18 so not as big of a loss. Still a loss if he does go to ND
