'17 IN QB Hunter Johnson (Former UT Commit 8/23/15) (Clemson commit)

Would love for UT to become "QB U" in the near future. According to Bleacherreport we are in top 5 for the #1 QB in class of 2018, Trevor Lawrence. Our QB problems have been erased for several years to come.:pepper::pepper::pepper::pepper::pepper::pepper:

Trevor Lawrence is ours to lose IMO

We don't know that. People love to make proclaimations that we won't have any real answers to for several years. As of right now, I think the 2013 QB class looks pretty good. Christian Hackenberg is projected to be the #1 overall pick next year. Jeremy Johnson is getting hype as a heisman finalist. Jared Goff is breaking records at Cal and a projected 1st round pick. JT Barrett had a heisman caliber season last year as a redshirt freshmen. And then we have Joshua Dobbs.

I'd say the 2013 QB class looks pretty good so far.
Non-sense. You're talking about the result now, not the result out of HS. The '15 class has the most polished class of passers Ive seen in some years. The QBs from the 13 class are developing really nicely (Goff in particular) and there is no doubt the '13 class will look good when draft day rolls around. The talent was abundant that year just not the same quality or amount of polish coming out of HS that the '15 class showed.

TIFWIW IDGAF IMO YOLO

Top #1 really

It's nice to sign three or four excellent QB prospects, it almost ensures we have a very good one, but of course two will leave by the end of their sophomore season. You can only play one, alas.

As for the passing game this year, there is no reason why we shouldn't have a good one. We've got a lot of talent at the skill positions. North needs to be a /possession/ receiver, assuming he ever gets healthy. We should focus on short/medium routes, finding the right matchups and getting rid of the ball. It will be very interesting to see how Debord calls a game.

This is what I'm most interested in seeing at this point. I think we left two, maybe three, wins on the field last year. Did we have some poor play in those games? Absolutely. Could a change up in play calling have helped? I believe so.

I'm ready to see what Debord brings to the table.

Only reason that we shouldn't have a good passing game is if Dobbs can't hit the broad side of a barn like he couldn't last year. We have too many talented recievers not to be able to go verticle.
Nb4 it was our OL's fault.

Tee Higgins, Trey Smith, Breon Dixon. Hunter himself has also picked up a CB from Alex Gleitman and Tyler Donohue. It's great day!

I would bet Butch's comment meant more than one and I wouldn't be surprised if more than one of the guys listed above commits before the season starts.

I bet Butch has a little plan to start the momentum train rolling once again leading up to Sept 5th.

Well then the vast majority of ya'll should have no problem with me. The only folks who I have waged "jihad" against are those that are ready to annoit Dormady as the starting QB already even as an unproven true freshmen. Thats really been the only real problem I've had with anyone on here.

Everything else have been factual corrections. For example, the guy who stated earlier Dobbs was less touted than Dormady or Jones. That was not factually correct. I didn't really view that as some sort of confrontation.

It wasn't bald biker so why the attack on him? Is it because he's bald?

Yeah I can't wait to get johnson in on campus to get rid of our joke of a QB. Hell lets start dormady
