He's recruited this class for longer than a week.

But besides this week, this class has been about like the other ones. Less numbers but still high quality. We've been knocked down this week, but this one week of bad **** with another month to go doesn't undo every thing that Butch and staff have done, no matter how bad you want to pretend like it does.

All I'm hearing is "we'll close strong because we always do."

I'm trying to point out that two years is not a good sample size and the circumstances of those two years are not prevalent this year.

So just so I can waste my time again...2 classes are not enough of a sample size, but 1 that is not complete is?

OK. Let me see if I have this straight. In this one week...there have been three de-commits. Indications are that two of them were asked to look elsewhere (a point that seems to be being overlooked here) and the 3rd is a 2017 commit.

I'm suppose to be panicking over this? Should I be calling for Butch's head on a platter too?

Someone (preferably one of you supposed "realist"....a term that I equate to you telling me you're stupid) tell me how I should be feeling about this.

Yeah and they are a hot team right now and that is stirring excitement but that can change very quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if Johnson ends up signing with Notre Dame. This sudden shift seems like the move of a typical wishy washy 16 year old.

Wouldn't surprise me either. Nothing against the young man for doing it either. Like you said...he's 16.

This guy isn't the right kind of QB for our system. In fact, knowing how people develop their junior and senior years of high school, it wouldn't surprise me if someone else emerged as the number 1 overall prospect.

Nothing against him at all. Unless he did in fact step foot on our campus while commited to us and was recruiting Tee and Amari to Clemson. I don't blame him for not wanting to sit behind JG. I hope he didn't really do that.

Rumor going around Knox that Amari Rodgers is trying to get Tee Higgins to flip to Clemson as well. Still a lot is going to happen before signing day 2017 though. One of them is Clemson getting that arse beat by OU!

I really hate to lose HJ, but it was probably inevitable that we weren't going to be able to hold onto all these great QBs.

Even if they all signed on the dotted line, it's difficult to imagine none of them transferring. As much as I hate losing top tier recruits, it's worth noting that almost all the ones we are losing are at positions we are absolutely loaded at already. They aren't rejecting Tennessee so much as they are the loaded depth chart.

Your correct, he's not the perfect fit for UT's system but he's not the perfect fit for Clemson's system either.

Ok, I also know that people close to the program said HJ was the hope for the future, not JG. This is a former player that speaks to the coaches almost daily.

And Ryan Leaf was the next great QB
