I believe so yes. What I meant earlier was highly ranked QB's and not literally 5 stars.

In thinking, we actually already have a Hunter Johnson on campus in Dormady. Similar game and skill set.

Personally, I think Hunter is a great prospect but I don't think he's the right fit in Butch Jone's offense. He's got great arm strength but lacks the mobility that Dobbs and JG have. I consider this a loss but not a make or break situation for us. We want kids whose not afraid of competition and who wants to prove themselves against the best. "If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best." In this scenario, Hunter does not meet that criteria.

I will agree with you about JG. He has allot of potential, and, if he is as good as I think. HJ would have been on the bench a very long time.

Why are we still talking about this punk? Out of all the recent developments, this one ticks me off the most as he was obviously on campus to turn other recruits. All the while professing to be a Vol. Hope his childishness comes back to bite in a big way.

I will agree with you about JG. He has allot of potential, and, if he is as good as I think. HJ would have been on the bench a very long time.

That's why I think he flipped. Honestly we have 3 guys in front of him that have the potential to be great.

This is his third full recruiting class. You're acting like his sample size is huge. Look at his 2013 class... Look at his '14 and '15 classes( many of the out of state '14 players have transferred).

I would say his '14 and '15 classes would be the anomaly because he had many different factors on his side and he could sell playing time.

Now he's been here long enough that the recruits want to see his results, and don't think other programs aren't pointing out the blown games.

Also, what was Butch's main position to coach? Seems like WR recruits would expect more out of a coach who specializes in their position.

Butch did his girlfriend in high school and his wife now yells butch every time they do it now. You don't have to be a sunshine pumper to want your coach to succeed but this guy lives in a world where he seems happy if he fails. You can't see any positives with this much negativity. If you were a dog, we would name you old yellow and shoot you to put you out of your rabies fed stupor.

I'm not reading through 20 something pages to see if someone has already posted this. Perhaps this thought might calm some of you down who are freaking out. Yes, this is bad timing, but look at it from the perspective of HJ.

Dobbs is here again next year, followed by two 4 star prospects in Sheriron Jones/Quinten Dormady, which gives us time to redshirt and develop Guarantano, and then we're in on Trevor Lawrence in 2018. Where is the playing time for Johnson? I was honestly surprised he committed to begin with, but who knows. There's over a year left until he goes to college.

Crompton. Doesn't matter though. Guarantano has the upside to be the best QB in college by the end of his time here. He has all the potential in the world.

I would advise to keep the negative commentary to a minimum with Johnson. The staff and that family are really close and it's a long time till NSD for 2017 recruits.

The timing of his visits and de commit/commitment certainly looks suspicious. Would not be surprised if he was doing just that.

You went way beyond being critical of Jones. Heck, I have been critical of his in game decisions. I refuse to judge even this class till NSD. You posted over 100 times how bad he is and doing. Leb vol wasn't a numbers thing on why he is gone. He trolled the coaching staff and if you read the board rules then you would realize you are dangerously close to that. A very big difference in being critical and trolling them.
