You realize you are arguing with one of the least knowledge people in this forum right? If not for 24/7 he'd have nothing to say

What the crap are you doing? You know nothing about me other than what I post here. Why try to start something with me when you don't even know me or what I know about recruiting? Thanks! Edit: Besides, we were having a discussion & not an argument like you're trying to start.

You put your knowledge...or lack therof, on display way too frequently. :hi:

Seriously butcha? Why did you have any business saying anything here? This wasn't even between me & you. C'mone man. Trying to get along with you is like pulling teeth sometimes buddy.

Don't get along with me then. Just ONCE be able to display the information you think you remember you definitely read. Instead of telling someone their point is definitely wrong based on something you think you're pretty sure you saw once. :hi:

I was mainly kidding bud but sometimes you do get under my skin & we all do the same on here though buddy. That's part of being a human being.

I just think he would have been a bust regardless of where he ended up. At least UK he has had a shot at playing. At Bama, he would never make it, and honestly would have been forced out. It's odd when you get a recruit from Bama, but he's a flop. And on a side note...Elam's not a very good guy outside sports. So tifwiw.

He's sloppy fat and it's not like E'town is the Mecca of HS football; he got by on being overwhelmingly bigger than 99% of the kids he faced.

With all due respect, you're missing what the expectations were for this team in 2016. That's the biggest failing point. It's got to hurt recruiting when you supposedly have one of the top talented teams in the country & can't even win the SEC East. Players are going to think twice about coming to UT with those kinds of expectations & failing bigtime.

It was supposed to happen for us in 2016 with all that top talent that CBJ brought in & look what has happened. You don't think that affects recruits & their mindset? You better think again buddy. I hope it just doesn't hurt as bad as I see it possibly happening.

You know that every single one of those guys we're going after has taken either an OV or an UOV to us this season and knows how beat up we are. It's like you haven't been paying attention as to why our defense is struggling, or why Dobbs has no time to throw. A recruit will take those things into account, not say "oh well everyone said they were supposed to win the East and they didn't, so screw that I definitely don't want to go there". Absolutely not. We're getting 4 star recruits this week scheduling official visits with us. You need to understand that in your responses you act like your word is the gospel. Seriously work on that, it's why you get hassled so much on this forum. Be more objective.

Do you think recruits will drop Ga because of Vandy? Or Ohio State because of Penn State? Good teams and good programs lose sometimes. Not optimal, but not the end of the program.

Apples to oranges when one considers the coaching situation. When Butch first arrived, he had his pitch. No one really knew about his coaching abilities or that of the staff. Everyone was focused on recruiting and rebuilding the roster. Expectations were low and good times were in our future. We now have his roster plus a body of work as it relates to this staffs ability to plan and develop players. Questions are swirling. Smart is in year one of the Butch cycle. He's still playing with house money. Smart may end up being a Dooley hire or he might be the second coming of Saban. No one knows and recruits are still going to listen and give him benefit of the doubt. Butch? Not so much. Road getting more difficult for him. Will be interesting to see how this recruiting class turns out. If it's filled with 3 stars and we whiff on our top targets, I think one has to believe the recruits aren't buying his pitch anymore and the bloom will certainly be off the rose. Maybe Butch needs a few more butt slaps and chest bumps with the recruits to build that chemistry?

"Apples to oranges" describes your reply to my comment. I said one loss isn't going to destroy our entire recruiting strategy. You response is about a completely different issue.

Your disdain for CBJ is evident. Everyone doesn't agree with you, including many recruits. I'm not sure if you were trying to reply to my comment or just looking for a place to dump your tirade, but in context, I'm guessing the latter.

Good grief. I have only said we can't continue signing 3* recruits one after another & expect to compete for the SEC East. I already said this year isn't fair to base our evaluations on this team because of all the injuries.

These injuries are very well what's kept us from possibly being 8-0 right now. At least 7-1 for sure. We can't lose what players we have lost & expect to win the SEC East or national title.

Telling me to work on my gospel? Are you serious? I'm more objective than most on here buddy. I'm also a VFL & not a nega-Vol. This team don't deserve to be criticized but I can't say the same about the coaching staff. Thanks!

Can the we start putting the school they're committed to next to the recruits name, even if it isn't UT? Just a request.

If you look at Bama's commit list on the offensive line and add Willis, you pretty much figure that Trey Smith is a lock for UT because I doubt Bama intends to take more than 4 offensive lineman.

That's what I was thinking too.

Going after one more true tackle but Wilson is their main target. Wilson is probably either Michigan or Bama. JW will be a guard as will Randolph. Brannon will be a gray shirt.
