'17 LA CB Cheyenne Labruzza (UT signeee)

I actually feel like Etling did a good job this year, I mean he isn't going to win the strongest arm award or anything but he did a decent job getting the ball where it needed to go with limited mistakes. LSU definitely got back to playing Tiger football after Les was let go, the Florida game was kind of a let down but other than that... I think a successful season.

Not sure what you mean by one and done, Coach O has a 5 year contract and LSU is paying Les for a number of years yet. Maybe money grows on trees where you are but then LSU would be paying 3 head coaches at one time... I would say very unlikely especially at 8-4 or 9-4.

Whether LSU loses a few or not, I think they got back to playing Tiger football this year... it was a fun season once Les was let go.... of course it can be fun to win... but I felt LSU wasn't fun to watch whether they won or not... we'll see how it carries over next year.

Don't worry he has no clue.

Yeah, but Ed O.

He isn't as bad as people like to say he is at least as an interim. We will see if he can keep it together as a full time guy. He sure as heck has the staff and the talent to win big. All he has to do is drive the ship and motivate. I think people underestimate him to be honest.

Etling is by no means a great QB, but he was exactly what yall needed.

Didn't he go like 0-12 or 1-11 one year at Ole Miss? That's pretty much as bad as you get.

Ed O has put together an amazing staff. LSU is a much better situation than Ole Miss was. It's easier to recruit Louisiana and he already has weapons in place. He's a recruiting genius paired with Austin Thomas and Corey Raymond who are guys who go get the goods on the trail. Also his OC is a good one. People reference what he did with Peterman but Nathan was already showing he had the tools when he with Chaney at Pitt. If they find a adequate to efficient qb look out because that roster is loaded down there.

Talent has never been an issue at LSU. They already put more talent into the NFL than Alabama and their players have more success.

The issue at LSU has been coaching, offensive philosophy, and QB development. We don't know if coach O can fix any of those issues. And nothing in his background says he can.

Ed O also thought Brent Shaeffer was the next coming. That, as much as anything else, spelled his doom.

“I don’t want to discuss it until maybe tomorrow,” said Labruzza, who reaffirmed his commitment to the Vols earlier this month despite being pursued by home-state school LSU. “I just don’t want to discuss it right now.”

Once he meets CCW and understands that he will be developed by a real coach he will be solid.

While in the in home I can see CCW telling him.... ok, now get in a stance.... now look over your right shoulder.... ok see i have taught you more in the last 30 seconds than you would have learned in 4 years under Willie.

Boom. Kid will appreciate the learning experience and solidify his commitment.

Yeah it can't get any worse. Our CBs have to be some of the worst in the nation. Totally on coaches though.

Wonder why this wasn't done before commits came in this past weekend so they could spend a lot of time with new coach.

I was not worried about losing Martinez's coaching "abilities," but I was afraid of certain relationships he has built with recruits. However, just like we can, I hope they are able to see this as an upgrade and better for their future. I agree that once he meets CCW he will stay on board.
