According to Callahan, he had a good in-home. He doesn't plan to visit anywhere but here, and LSU has stopped calling for now. He said he had no comment on the DB hire yesterday because he wanted to meet him before commenting.
Once he meets CCW and understands that he will be developed by a real coach he will be solid.
While in the in home I can see CCW telling him.... ok, now get in a stance.... now look over your right shoulder.... ok see i have taught you more in the last 30 seconds than you would have learned in 4 years under Willie.
Boom. Kid will appreciate the learning experience and solidify his commitment.
Head coach Butch Jones, on his birthday, spent the day in Louisiana and is scheduled to be there on Wednesday as well. Tuesday night Jones, Bob Shoop, Charlton Warren, and Robert Gillespie were in Cheyenne Labruzza's home. Labruzza told Volquest late Tuesday night (following the in-home) that he will be in Knoxville this weekend and that will be his last visit as he is solid to the Vols.
"I'm totally committed to Tennessee," Labruzza said. "It was a great visit with coach Gillespie, coach Jones, coach Warren and coach Shoop."
The chance to meet Warren was good. The two spoke by phone yesterday and putting a face to the voice started a solid foundation to come.
"It was great meeting coach Warren," Labruzza said. "I like him a lot. It was my first time meeting him in person but I really liked his energy and what he brings to the table. I'm excited about him."
That really shows the recruit exactly how much we really want them to be Vols. The DC, position coach, Butch and his main recruiter CRG, all united with the same message. Come and be a Vol.
