'17 MS TE Chase Rogers (Former UT commit)

I'm sorry if you've already answered this, but what is your opinion of Coach Scott?

Coach Scott is the Ace in the hole that makes Tennessee the complete package for us. He is laid back but at the same time feared and respected. Great combination for a coach to have. I trust him and feel he is a man of his word. Chase will be the only TE Tennessee takes this year. He loved how Chase has filled out. I truly believe he will play as a true freshman. Chase is smart and will have no problem learning the offense. Chase doesn't need much weight added. He is a solid 238 now. His ability to run after the catch will separate him from the others.

Has he been asked about being a EE?

Glad you had a great time at the game!...Hope the boo birds didn't scare anybody away..We UT fans can be a bit emotional at times lol

Off topic but I was wondering if you could give me some insight on the WR Pittman that plays with your son. As he is committed to WKU, I am interested in your thoughts on him. Thanks in advance.

He is classified as a TE. He transferred last year to play for a passing offense. Last year he was a little green,. This year has vastly improved. Has not fumbled catching a lot better and running thru people. He still has a ways to go. Going to be a good college player. Chase averages 17.5 yds a catch Pittman averages 9. Chase is unique because he runs like a running back.

I could see Chase in motion to be a lead fullback. Like Wolf on a run play.

What's his 40 time?

Chase best time was a 4.76 and that was 1 1/2 ago. I don't know about Pittman but Chase is faster than him. Now game speed Chase out runs defensive backs every week that supposively faster than him. He has great separation speed on film.

Thanks for the info! Looking forward to him suiting up for the Vols:hi:

Did you guys watch the game Saturday? Were things broken in your house like it was at mine?

Happy with win. Monday morning quarterback tho.... Why only play 2 deep with 20 seconds left and a field goal doesn't beat you. 3 deep was the only way I play that down....

There was enough time for them to have a run play and the way they were gashing Tennessee with the run game there was a great possibility they would run a sweep to get a closer pass that's just s guess though

I don't disagree with you. I think that was a gamble to stop the intermediate play first.

But on the bright side, we made tons of mistakes, left points on the board, were decimated with injuries, playing from behind on the road in the SEC, and still found a way to win.

It wasn't a bad play call. Eason isn't very mobile but managed to escape the pressure on that particular play, then threw a perfect pass. Our CB let up and gave separation making it an easy catch, but the results make it very easy to second guess the call. We had 2 costly plays in the game that were examples of players not going 100% until the whistle blows. I don't think we will see that happen again this season.

I thought the D call was ok. We had the pass defended. Our CB just inexplicably let up. Not sure what he was thinking. He was stride for stride when he decided to let him go.
