About time haha.
If we can get back to Rich Brooks type of seasons, then it will suffice.
If you are going to run a I formation power run, play action pass offense like Bama and Stanford..you will have to recruit elite linemen like Bama and Stanford...or you will get creamed.Rich was a hell of a coach!
Kentucky could be succesful. If Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, West VA, Oregon can be good. So can Kentucky.
- continue building up the stadium
- Recruit Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia relentlesly.
- Target Indianapolis, Louisville, Cleveland, Nashville, Memphis, St Louis as your metro hot-beds.
- Start scheduling tough power 5 teams out of conference for the beginning of the season.
- Change your offense to be more like Stanford's. Change the defense to be more like Va Techs.
Power on Offense, disruption on defense.

Agreed on that, but it seems the problems are beyond simply player personnel.
We just can't seem to play consistent to be honest. I like our team, the depth and everything. We have some legit SEC players on the roster on the field. But it seems like we always break down eventually and make stupid plays. Over and over we just can't make the easy play.
We've had utter meltdowns the last two seasons. It has shown against UT, UL, UF, etc etc. There isn't as big of a talent gap anymore, it's about the mentality and consistency on the field. UK fans get called out, and rightly so, but if UK had stepped up and won six or seven like we should have the last two years, then it would be a completely different picture in the state from the fans. Instead we have to worry about even winning five or six in year four.

UK simply needs defense first before anything. It showed against Tennessee. The offense is pretty good to be competive in the SEC but it's not going to make a difference if your defense doesn't show up.
