'17 NC LB Justin Foster

They are right there with Tennessee, the leader since the spring, for Justin Foster (Shelby, N.C./Crest). Foster, who’s sister goes to Clemson, favored the Tigers early in his recruitment.

A weekend visit has positioned the Tigers back even with the Volunteers with a decision expected in the coming weeks.

Lol you're crazy if you don't think all the top name programs don't bribe kids.

Agree, but if that 's the case, looking at this year's class so far, it is hard to believe any bribing is going on...begging maybe, but not bribing...

Well there's definitely something odd going on this year, that's for sure.

If you want college football watch the program. Handshakes from the alumni at party's. Also that's what a lot of college players act like.

The Rivals article said he would take another round of visits to schools before cutting it to 3.

Tennessee has long been regarded as Clemson’s biggest challenger for Foster, while Notre Dame crept into the equation when Foster visited there last month.

“I like Notre Dame because it’s small,” Foster said. “They’re huge on academics. I like the rush position they would use me at. I probably talk to them every two or three weeks. It’s just nice up there, I like the atmosphere.

“With Tennessee, it’s a huge atmosphere, and game day is big up there. I have a good relationship with the coaches, and I’ve been up there so many times I know it like the back of my hand, just like Clemson.”

Foster said he would like to take another round of visits to Clemson, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Georgia and maybe others before releasing a top three during the fall.

He said he does not plan to advance his recruitment further before his senior season.

Clemson, though, remains a prominent factor.

“I just like going back there,” Foster said. “I’ve seen everything really except the new facility that’s going up. Just really talking to the coaches face-to-face, that’s much better than over the phone. I like talking with them, and you get a feel for them when you’re talking face-to-face.”

In the Smith thread check mark in our column was his sister at UT. I think that same thing works against us here....

Agree with you about our (Vol) class. But there are some programs around, not named Ole Miss, that need to be scrutinized. TN talent heading to out of state schools certainly appear to be especially drawn to "greenville".

Another one that's waiting to see what we look like on the field and if we can live up to the hype, IMO. That's good for us.

Clemson side felt they were playing catch up here and this one is 50/50 at best right now.

Let's get him on campus for the UF game and win And we will be fine.
