'17 NC OL TJ Moore (former USCe commit)

If you're trying to knock Butch's recruiting efforts with that comment then I must ask where you've been the last three classes? Definitely not Mac classes

no offense. but whatchall know about the MAC? Butch pretenda to be PJ Fleck but in reality is Jon Bonamego.

We should sign a top 10 class every year, with this coaching staff, our facilities etc. Last year was not gonna get it done. And so far it isnt this year. Top 10-15 may cut it at Utah, but in SEC even top 5 class can be 3rd or 4th best class in SEC. Our lack of depth showed this year.'

Bold above. I agree with you but it's just so hard in the SEC. Not making things up but it's the darn truth. We had our chance this season to bring UT football back into the upper echelon of college football. Injuries & other things kept this from happening.

Nothing we can do about the injuries but it sure showed our lack of depth at these positions where key injured players were lost. Butch has done pretty well thus far in the recruiting world with nothing lower than 24th composite in 2013 which was his 1st season anyhow.

He's had a #7th & #4th thrown in there in 2014 & 2015 respectively. Right now, for 2017 he has his work cut out for him if he wants to not have his worst recruiting class since he's been here. We're at 10th right now but a long way to go. What we have committed & the class we have right now will look seriously different after NSD than what is does now.

I would be happy with a top #15 class to be honest but CBJ is known for pulling off some shockers. We'll just have to see but I think winning the SEC East would have helped us tremendously. We still have a chance for a great season & great bowl game so in the end I think 10-3 wouldn't hurt as nearly as much if we were to falter here at the end of the season.

The USCe loss could be one of the biggest factors in recruits deciding to go elsewhere whether we like it or not. No way whatsoever we should have lost that game period.

It hurts in all areas including recruiting. Dobbs who done amazing things for UT had his worst game & it showed against USCe. It's a shame too for such a class act guy. He's still been the leader & key to this 2016 team.

You simply don't win in the SEC with average recruiting. You have to have top 10 clssses. It's statistically proven.

Unless you're Florida. 😐

I totally agree with you Catbone. I was just showing the poster that asked the question about where we stand & how it's going to have to be done to get us back up there competing year in & out again like it used to be in the Fulmer days.
