'17 TN ATH Amari Rodgers (Clemson commit)

No, no he didn't. He opened it up because he plans to take visits. It makes sense to not be a commit if you aren't 100%. Anyone throwing shade at him over that is a mouth breathing idiot.

We're talking about Tee Martin. Check what I quoted Mock. I agree about TeeH as long as he didn't just decom to turn around and commit to dubbo.

I'd say we only need 2-3 receivers for 2017. There will be plenty.

This. Pretty obvious after taking 5.

If the local guys feel they need to leave to get playing time or need a change of scenery; good luck to them. Not what I would do if in their position and having the opportunity that is available on the hill that extends a lifetime.

WRs are a dime a dozen. We need two really good ones next class which we will get. If the TN boys don't want in we will find two, see ya wouldn't want to be ya. Now if this was two DTs then it would bother me

Rodgers and Higgins are both elite. These aren't average WRs at all. Both would play Year 1. IMO

This will be the second time he has committed to someone. He is more than likely going to change his mind again before February 2017 rolls around.

I hope he is making the decision based on what is right for him and not just following the crowd or decisions of other recruits.

Yeah..they are good no doubt. The fact that are both basically from Knoxville, and Rodgers is our NC winning QBs son, make this suck even worse. It is embarrassing. I hope we get one of them at least. There are a lot of big fish in the WR sea, and I'm sure we can get some just as good, but the circumstances make it worse.

Never seen Rodgers play but have seen Higgins and quite honestly I wasn't that impressed. I'm sure he is as good as everyone says so maybe it was an off night or maybe the defense he was going up against that night was really good.

Higgins is the killer. Big WRs that can make plays on anyone are a must get. Now Rodgers has exceptional leaping ability and body control as well. But the size Higgins has makes the difference to me.

I think it comes down to what he does after the 14th. If he's still taking visits, he is not committed and would be on flip watch till NSD. If the kid sticks to what he said about being done, he won't be taking anymore visits.

USC would at least make sense. Clemson not so much.

Yep..I agree. This just blows my mind. How can they not feel what is happening? The players that restore us to prominence are going to be LEGENDS. They may be loved wherever they go if they do well, but nothing like what will happen here. It is a shame.

Well, look at the way UT fans talk about Tee Martin (you can find plenty of examples on this board). The fanbase has basically disowned the guy. Not surprising at all to me that his son isn't chomping at the bit to play here.

Clemson with the way they use WRs kinda makes sense to me if he chose to go there.

Maybe..but the staff is showing they can adjust. It would suprise me if the passing game does nit get featured more this year. The under center packages are screaming play action success..IF..Dobbs gets a little more accurate on his deep ball. Defenses are going to crash the line to stop the run.

Once again Tee has brought this on himself. He was a hero. It is not just one thing either.

I loved seeing that in the bowl game and am really excited to see them expand on it.

I'm not going to comment on whether or not Tee deserves the criticism he gets. My point is that I'm sure his son has heard it many times growing up in Knoxville. I could easily understand how Amari might have a bad taste in his mouth after hearing all the negativity about his dad from UT fans over the past few years. That's all I'm saying.

He used 3 emojis for Tennessee and 2 for everyone else.

I think it's a sign.

We need WRs like Higgins and Rodgers who will go up and win on the regular. Preston Williams may do that a lot this year coming up but none of our WRs won 50/50 balls consistently.

I guess you're right, but the feelings people have toward him are understandable. I think TeeM just doesn't love UT much, and I think his boy picked up on it. It is a shame either way. It is going to cost us two good players probably. How awesome would it be to see Amari make a catch like Peerless did from Tee, to win the NC game? That's goosebump potential the kid can't find anywhere else.

Higgins and Rodgers should understand that Dobbs will not be throwing them passes. They at least should be aware of Guarantano.

They are being told that TN wrs hasn't really produced much. Im still not sold on CZA the player developer
