'17 TN ATH Amari Rodgers (Clemson commit)

Clemson is just the new fad. It'll pass. They're like Oregon a few years ago.

It's crucial that TN makes it to ATL this season for the sake of getting back to elite, this hungry fanbase, and the continuance elite recruiting.

If TN is up double digits against the big dogs again he needs to get out the way and let the ballers put on more steam!

If TN fails to make it to ATL it will be used against us.

" TN was dominately picked to win the east with allll that talent and still couldnt make it"

Clemson with the way they use WRs kinda makes sense to me if he chose to go there.

Dabo has Sammy Watkins, Nuk Hopkins and martavius Bryant all doing exceptionally well in the NFL. If we are being honest with ourselves, It makes perfect sense to pick Clemson

We are still WRU, but Clemson is churning them out and may pass us up if we don't do something about it.

Well, look at the way UT fans talk about Tee Martin (you can find plenty of examples on this board). The fanbase has basically disowned the guy. Not surprising at all to me that his son isn't chomping at the bit to play here.

I don't know. I've seen a few that really don't know much about the situation that bad mouth him but most appreciate what he did and understand why he's not here. He still has a lot of fans. There is some friction between he and Butch though and that's why I don't see Amari being here. It's a shame because Volnation loves their legacy players. Even to the point of being critical of Butch for not offering marginal legacies.

I'd like to know from people that are critical of Tee exactly what he's done to his Alma Mater. Is it because he didn't come back home for less money? Remember Tee wanted to come back here several years ago and he was passed over. Remember he has a wife that wants to be in LA. Remember his choices have landed him the OC at one of college football's premier programs. I honestly don't understand what people have against him.

Comments about Hurd didn't sit well.

He didn't know he was on TV at the time. No big deal.

I don't blame him for not coming here for what was essentially a demotion. I think anybody with any sense understands that. It is more of a sense that I get, that he just doesn't love UT as much as he should. The way Amari acts like he doesn't give two spits for us, to me, is evidence of that. There are other things, but nothing real or concrete, just a feeling. When have you ever heard, or seen TeeM gush over Tennessee? Like everybody but Arian Foster does? At less he doesn't publicly trash us like AF does...there is that. Most people will disagree with me, but you know that feeling you get when you are around somebody that just doesn't like you much, but they are too polite to be just downright ugly to your face? That us the feeling I'm talking about.

Yup. Not a hard decision right now.

So, in other words you just bash him based on a feeling lol. VFL34 has already said on here Tee is a VFL.

It's funny that you say Amari "picked up on it" even tho he's taken 5+ visits to Tennessee since the start of the season.

Sorry if it's been asked, but why isn't Rodgers going to USC to play for Dad?

I doubt anyone here could answer that and be sure. Could be several reasons. Working with or for dad isn't always smooth. I've seen it posted mom wants him closer to home. The USC scene/location isn't for everyone. Could be lots of reasons.

Surely Tee doesn't blame the university or fans for not getting hired when he was at KY. That was Dooleys fault iirc

Alsoo you would think before Tee came in for the interview couple of yrs ago that he had an idea of what TN was offering

Pretty much..yeah. I dont need your permission to feel the way I do. I realize others feel differently, and I dont think that feeling is without merit. I know what Travis said, but he is a personal friend. I wouldn't expect him to say anything different. As far as Amari visiting 5 times goes, if he was here doing the same thing Hunter Johnson was doing on his visit, how does that strike you? If Amari picks UT I would gladly renounce this idea, but if he does indeed pick Clemson, what do you think he was doing on his visits?

Eatin up all the dang peanut butter.

Who exactly has Clemson churned out other than Hopkins and Watkins?..

There's a WR for the Steelers too. He made that ridiculous glute catch. (Edit: Martavis Bryant)

I drafted CJ Spiller as a rookie in my fantasy league years ago 😔 That didn't go well.

Clemson also produced Charlie Whitehurst's glorious locks of hair.

I was asking about wide receivers. I just don't get it these kids won't even play with deshaun Watson plus Clemson is the "cool" team right now. It's a fad.

Well maybe. But I firmly believe we are looking at Alabama's next HC should Saban shuffle off into the sunset some point.

Tee has talked about the LadyVols multiple times and has called himself a VFL...

If his son chooses Clemson so what. Clemson has produced more good NFL WR's then we have lately. He's choosing whats best for him. Not what pleases certain Vol fans. He has a huge Tennessee helmet poster in his room. You are bashing someone based on feelings that you can't even give a reason for😂

You sound like the Miami fans bashing Byrd for not staying home

I will give dubbo credit for one thing, he didn't let that 70-33 beatdown West Virginia put on him derail their momentum.
