Who exactly has Clemson churned out other than Hopkins and Watkins?..

Bryant at Pittsburgh has the catch of the year.

Scott, Mike Williams, and Cain right now on the roster. Peake will get a shot at the pros as well. I'm no hater they are using their WRs to the max. Receivers are the focal point of the offense. We feature our RBs primarily. A player of North's caliber not getting a target week 1 was flat out ridiculous.

Surely Tee doesn't blame the university or fans for not getting hired when he was at KY. That was Dooleys fault iirc

Alsoo you would think before Tee came in for the interview couple of yrs ago that he had an idea of what TN was offering

We're assuming he was offered less. He may of thought it was negotiable at the time and the two sides just couldn't come together. Who knows? I don't know of one thing that he's done to disrespect UT. We don't know the context around the Hurd comments. Maybe it was what we say when a recruit chooses another school.

I do know based on LWSVOL's comments that there is some friction between he and Butch that arose from that interview. He's never elaborated as to what happened and who disrespected who. That's the reason I don't see Amari coming here.

I'm not sure why people throw CZA under the bus for "player development." People forget that just a few months ago, Antonio Brown was giving CZA the praise for his success. That's the best WR in the league right now.

When you have an offense featuring Dobbs, Kamara, and Hurd, you aren't going to throw a lot. That should be expected. So, I really hope people aren't whining about the offense and the lack of use of WRs compared to traditional UT offenses when those whining would also do so if we weren't heavily relying on 3 of the best players in CFB.

It's safe to say we offered less money. At that time our OC/DC made about what Tee made as USCs WR coach. Tee made 450 grand coaching receivers upon turning UT down.

Looking back now Tee would have been worth the money. I mean what's the #1 recruiter in the country worth cash wise? I'd say it's significant. Had Butch tossed out an offer closer to 500-550 and it included the recruiting coordinator title with WRs we may have been in business. Butch would have had to bump the OC/DC to 600-650, but it may still have been a good move.

I mean consider what Dabo would pay to land just Johnson, Rodgers, and Higgins. That's gotta be 175-225 grand right there. LOL Tee would have been cash well spent IMO.

Not throwing the ball a lot has nothing to do with WRsdeveloping. You're looking at stats. That's not what anyone is talking about. What WR has gotten the most out of their talent/skill for us in 3 years?

Bama doesn't throw the ball around but their #1 WRs have been consistently great. They don't end up within 5 yards of each other. They high point footballs and run constistent routes and hang on to the ball.

I think you might be on to something.

Jones needs to step it up BIG time in recruiting. We've all heard how this class could be "legendary" and right now we are sitting at 0 commits. Butch is getting his ass handed to him and what makes it worst is that two of our prized instate recruits are favoring Clemson, ****ing Clemson. Step it up Butch this is a big year and we are all counting on you to bring the natty home and get a top 3 class.

Why are you still here? You were supposed to leave when we didn't get Mecole.

To be honest, I haven't looked at any stats. I would assume that our run/pass ratio isn't as bad as some make it out to be.

What good WR has the program had in the past 3 years that's been consistently healthy? In the last 3 years, I don't think our best WRs had a decent stretch of games injury-free. Would you disagree that talent hasn't exactly been plentiful at the position this past season?

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not sold on the current crop of WRs. P. Williams is the most talented, and he wasn't 100% at any point in the season.

Can't be serious. Just can't be.

Well if it starts at home Butch, nothing is closer to home than Knoxville Tennessee. Seriously.

Malone is a super talent. Still middling in mediocrity.
Vonn Pearson is another with great talent and tools.
Josh smith is a great athlete who struggled for two years and finally playing good ball.
Pig was about as good as we've had as far as making plays, and he took himself away from the game

There has been enough talent on the roster. Just got to get the most out of them. And that means coaching them up AND putting them in positions to succeed

Von has exceptional feet, where were the digs and slants with him running away from defenders or underneath drags to take advantage of dropping linebackers and use his skill in space.

Again, there was and is talent at the WR position

He really needs to pick it up . First he loses Brown and doesn't sign a DT in the entire class. Now he's losing kids from Knoxville to Clemson? Clemson of all schools. This last class was 6th in the sec.

We signed a 4* DT last class and haven't lost a single recruit to Clemson from Knoxville.

I just find it odd that people automatically blame the coaches. Got have consistency from the QB position for WRs to benefit. Not as cut and dry as a lot of people on here try to make it.
