'17 TN ATH Amari Rodgers (Clemson commit)

I think the 2 games we lost that should have been wins are hurting us too. We should have been 11-2... big difference than 9-4 as far as being back goes.

We will have a top 10 class, nobody needs to jump of a cliff:eek: anyway you would have thought he would have went to USC, its a long time till NSD 2017, when we go 11 and 1 and battle for a playoff spot we will rewarded with a top 10 class.

I think Tee has developped some friendships with the guys at UT. Also them going to his games and stuff speaks a lot. I believe Tee has a very good chance to be a Vol, and good for Amari if this is where he wants to go.

I have learned to not judge these things till I see the entirety of the class. Tennessee just brought in a lot of slot receivers this year. If they work out, Rodgers is going to have a lot of guys to pass (top 100 talents).

At the outside spots, Tennessee is getting older and Tee can come in and have more of an immediate impact.

WR is the last position I will ever get overly concerned about personally.

Clemson is a nobody. Sure, they'll recruit good players but they have so much more talent than anyone in the ACC and the competition ain't very good. Least Tenneseee plays in the best conference in the country. Not to mention we have so much more history than Clemson. We could beat them this year and we could have beat them last year as well.

What about that fence Butch is supposedly building ?

Keep getting Georgia talent and they will be fine. UT has been their best when doing so. You act like he never gets an instate player. Can't get them all and as long as we get Higgins, I can live with not getting Amari. Check back after NSD Feb 17 and after UT wins the East at a minimum. Sure you will then talk about the slow pace of 18 recruiting.

Junior camp Saturday, will he attend?

Good question. Not sure I'd want him around other recruits. He's obviously recruiting Higgins so he'd probably try recruit anyone that would listen. Butch probably knows whether it's a lost cause or not so if he's not here I'd say that speaks where we stand and if we have any shot.

Or has he been given the Dabo "you can't visit other schools" talk yet?

No ill will towards any kid that makes a decision. Yeah he's recruiting Higgins but haven't they been friends for a long time?

He still could come back to us so I don't see any reason to torch him on here. If he decides to stay with his commitment, good luck kid.

I think I've read that's how it works for most Clemson commits. Dabo will look to replace you if you're committed and taking visits. As long as he doesn't drop kids late in the process, I think it can work. Commitment has to be a two way street. Might be why Higgins hasn't committed to them yet. He's still seeking out the attention.

Might also be that Higgins doesn't end up committing there at all.

That's the way I feel as well. I think the Vols will be fine with or without Amari. With a great season, recruits as good or better will be wanting to be Vols.

Something is weird about this recruitment though.

Yeah, so Amari is on campus working out with TK Jr and some guys. Safe to say, this is FAR from over imo.
