Coach Z is a Great recruiter.

Tee Martin was the #2 recruiter in the Nation last year, per 247

If say pulling a 5 star WR 2 yrs in a row makes Z pretty elite himself in terms of recruiting.

Both are great recruiters. I would enjoy either as WR coach. I prefer Z because he knows Butch system front to back. I'd say Butch probably had his eye on Z the whole time and the Tee interview was for public perception.

Don't confuse "position coach" with "recruiter".

Thig was the lead recruiter for Josh Malone, and played a serious hand with Preston Williams.

Preston was all Z. Malone I will agree was teamwork but Preston was all Z

Agreed that Preston was Z.
Josh Malone was Thig though.

So Azzanni did not recruit back to back 5 Star receivers.
Tennessee pulled back to back 5 Star receivers.

This is a bit of silly argument to be having in all honesty. Zach Azzanni is a very good recruiter, but he's not on the same level as Tee Martin right now, and it's not even close.

Tee Martin - #2 Recruiter in the Country
Zach Azzanni - #182 Recruiter in the Country

Now, Coach Z is the Primary recruiter this cycle for both Kyle Davis & Mecole Hardman. If he pulls both of those, he could have a monster year this year.

I hope he does :)

Those same rankings had Chavis pretty high...the same Chavis that coached for us. :)

I was thinking since he committed to his dad that he probably wasn't open to anyone else but 247 is hearing that the TN offer has made us a major factor moving forward... It could be a stay home and follow your dad's legacy or be coached by your dad. I would think coaching your sons position could get tricky with people claiming favoritism if they aren't playing. so Tee feel free to advise him to win a natty with the Vols just like you did 😀

Despite his commitment to USC less than a month ago — and his family ties to the Trojans through his father, who’s currently their wide receivers coach — sources close to Rodgers’ recruitment believe Tennessee now could be a major factor in his recruitment. He has grown up in Knoxville, and he’s undoubtedly intrigued by the idea of playing for the Vols.

I would by every penny I had that if Tee is a coach for USC on NSD 2017, Amari will sign with them. If he's not we are probably going to land him.

Whats the probability that tee stays at usc for five more years? Not likely for an up and coming assistant. They tend to move around, so his son should pick a place that he likes cause dad may not be there the entire time.
