'17 TN ATH Amari Rodgers (Clemson commit)

Whoa whoa whoa.... Did he acknowledge the possibility of Dad coaching at Tennessee? What was the context of that answer?

Nothing about Tennessee specifically, just that he'd consider following Martin wherever he ends up.

IMO, at this point Tee would have to reach out to CBJ and our unniversity. I don't see CBJ reachin out again to him. Jmo, anything could and does happen tho in college football.

In today's world of communication I'm sure Butch and Tee have atleast said what's up. We have to recruit WRs and I'm afraid Azzani has to move along.

Could you imagine Tee and Peyton both on the staff at the same time

Can we get Al Wilson to coach LBs while we're at it?

Lol maybe Terry Fair for DBs

Haha. With all of them back on the sidelines, I would be like:

from what I would call "a person close to the program".

Oh good grief I somehow missed this quote from Stephens. For heavens sake Butch please. Tee is likely available after the season and we desperately need a WR coach. Just so happens we get Amari Rodgers also. As much of a legacy program that we have this so needs to happen.

He wasn't eligible before due to not having a degree...has that changed?

Nothing against Al. Loved the guy and his energy. But Thigpen is not a ham and cheese on rye. And he is more experienced in the coaching and recruiting game. I think we are good here. Now Tee for Azzanni is something I could get behind.

Wasn't advocating a change...have no problems with Thig...especially recruiting. :). Just on Wilson ever possibly being a candidate. When names were being thrown around for Sunseri's staff, his name popped up and it was revealed he wasn't a graduate. Distant dream of mine is Dale Jones contributing to Vol wins someday...he's happy coordinating Appy State's D currently.

Edit: Dale got demoted after 2012...exclusively coaches ILB's.

Unless the rules are different for different sports within the university, I don't think that would be an issue regardless.

You have to have a degree.

There was a basketball coach that got let go because he didn't graduate and faked it...Long Island U...something like that. Rule requirement in basketball and football...don't know about swimming. :)

That's why I prefaced it by saying that "unless the rules are different for different sports" because I wasn't sure if there was a distinction. I just remember, at the time of the Serrano hiring, it was much discussed that his only version of a degree was from an unaccredited college in Spain that awarded them for "life experience."

Hope Todd Helton graduated.
