"It's been good," Stokes said. "I love the process. I love both sports and I try to treat them the same. I just look at this as a blessing. Many people don't get the chance to play one and I may have the chance to play either one or both." "Basketball used to be my main sport, but football came in and now they are even," Stokes said. "I love to impose my will on someone in football. Just that feeling to get someone to tap out. Football is a different animal."
"I feel like basketball helps me a lot," Stokes said. "People just think I'm big, but I'm quick on my feet and I can beat people to where I want to go. I have good hands and good feet. Plus I have a good knowledge of the game. My parents push me off the field" . "Tennessee has a great atmosphere," Stokes said. "I used to go to all those basketball games for my brother. The fans are just crazy and they are so good. They offer so much support. You don't see that type of support everywhere you go."
"When I went down to the camp I got a great relationship with coach Mo (Mahoney)," Stokes said. "They push you in such a way that makes you want to go harder. When I've been to other schools they chew you out and yell at you. Tennessee coaches do it the right way." "Coach Mahoney is a great guy," Stokes said. "He's laid back and we talked about a lot. We have a great relationship. He taught me a lot when I was at camp. I feel like I learned the most from coach Mo than any other camp."
