'17 TN ATH Jacoby Stevens (LSU commit)

You absolutely are insane to take Dupre over Stewart or Ridley. Adams over Harrison or Fitzpatrick???

And Fitz is a backup because Eddie Jackson got hurt. Bama's backups are better than good team's starters.

I gave you RB but that margin is slim also. I'll give you the Center and White. Bama didn't destroy them because they lost the turnover battle, fumbled a 4th and goal, missed FG's and knew LSU could do nothing offensively.

Here's the difference:

QB
WR
WR
TE
OL
OL
OL
OL

DE
DT
DT
DE
LB
LB
NB
CB
Safety
Safety

Even if we called Adams a push it's really not close.

Didn't read past "absolutely insane"

Pro Football Focus has Dupree as the 4th best WR in the draft this year....Walterfootball says 6th.....and that's in a bad offense without having a decent qb to play with. And my eyes tell me he's easily in the elite SEC league of both Ridley and Stewart and would surely start over Dieter at Alabama.

Adams over who?
Beckwith over Foster?

I'll give you White and Pocic. I wouldn't start any LSU WR over Ridley or Stewart. Quite frankly their stats are down because their QB can't throw either.

4 definite players out of 22 starters is a sad argument.

Adams over Harrison. Adams is easily one of the tops safeties lol. Beckwith over Hamilton. Bama has Hamilton as a starter, they run a lot of 2 ILB

Well they all haven't flamed out. Henry is doing well, Ingram has done fair, Lacey has done fair, Richardson flamed out. Also, they don't have the dominant O line in the NFL that they do in college. A lot of factors there including work ethic after college.

They have never lived up to their hype. As the juice wears off, they get worse. Do I think Saban orchestrates a systemic PED program? No, but I doubt they're ever checked and turns a blind eye to it.

If your running a 3WR set I'll give you Dupre over Dieter.

So that brings us to this:

QB = Bama
RB = LSU
TE = Bama
OT = Bama
OG = Bama
C = LSU
OG = Bama
OT = Bama
WR = LSU
WR = Bama
WR = Bama

DE = Bama
DT = Bama
DT = Bama
DE = Bama
OLB = Bama
ILB = Bama
Star = Bama
DB = LSU
Safety = Bama
Safety = LSU
DB = Bama

It's not close especially when you check two and three deep. I could see Beckwith as a second MLB in a 3-4 in this set but he wouldn't start over foster.

It's all subjective opinion on your part. Bottom line is when they played, it was all but even and Bama struggled to get out of that game with a 10-0 win. Both teams will have a ton of players drafted next spring. Perhaps we can revisit this topic then. Back to Jacoby...I'm curious to see who he chooses between LSU and Bama.

This is not subjective. This is a beating minus the scoreboard. I'll stop in this thread now. 🎤 drop.

Are you kidding? You don't think LSUs athletes match up with Bama? You gotta be kidding.

KB it's not necessarily the starting 22. Bama's2 and 3 deep would be starting at other SEC teams. Their starting 22 are the best in the country as well. It's sickening how good they are as a full team (dammit!)!

We are going to jettison this thread out into the deep reaches of space but you guys keep talking...

Nope. Name 3 starters on LSU's defense that would start at Bama.

Then name an offensive player other than the RB position.

Not completely disagreeing with you, but LSU has good WRs. I'd take Dupree over everyone at Bama other than Ridley. Also, don't act like some of the guys on LSUs OL aren't legit.

This year the OL has had problems and Rbs are avg. What we got to see is Lane work his mojo and make it work. I worry about Hurts development under anybody else but LK. Needless to say though they have dominated the season on defense and that starting 11 or 3 deep can start anywhere but not on offense.
