And FYI, he had only 6 tackles last year. Not 6 tfls mind you but total tackles. So don't give me any crap about him playing in 13 games.

He's also already been passed up by TRUE FRESHMAN Marlon Davidson for the starting defensive end position this year. Cowart is doing no better than 2nd string right now behind a TRUE FRESHMAN.

You said he didn't see the field, we weren't discussing his stats. And did you even read the article you posted? Garner said last year he didn't play like many expected but he's turned it around this year and is practicing like everyone expected and dominating people. He doesn't expect the same results as last year. But apparently it only takes 1 year of play to define a career. Claiming a bust after 1 season is laughable as I previously said.

No I read the article. It was a little fluff piece trying to be nice to Cowart.

The reality of his situation is clear if you read the last sentence. He's stuck as a second stringer on the depth chart heading into his sophomore season.

What that article doesn't mention is that the guy ahead of him is a TRUE FRESHMAN. Marlon Davidson. Who came in during the spring and took over immediately as a starter.

Cowart is a perfect example of a 5 star BUST.

I think he was saying that they look at message boards in general. Not assuming it was ours he was talking about. There's a lot of recruit bashing that goes on that they probably read. A lot of us wouldn't blink an eye because we're older and don't gaf, but these are kids we're talking about.

Yet a depth chart posted Aug 25th had Cowart starting opposite Lawson. Starters aren't made in April. Davidson showed out during the spring, a time in which Cowart was in the doghouse for being arrested. Your posted article is from the 1st of fall camp, you think things are incapable of changing as practice has progressed?

And i'm confused; you posted that article to show that Cowart sucks and then when it's pointed out they were discussing the past and how far he's come you say it's a fluff piece to build him up.

Careers aren't 1-2 seasons. Even if he doesn't start this year he still has 2 years to play significant minutes. Bama has plenty of guys who don't see significant time until their Jr years. If you've done your job, FR shouldn't have to be significant contributors. And all Davidson playing over Cowart means is he's better than Cowart, that doesn't translate to a bust on the other side.

Taylor had to RS here, so he wasn't good enough, mature enough, big enough etc to see the field and he's not starting as a RS FR, dude must be a bust.

And yes that post was aimed at Volnation because he saw some of the dumb things posted here sent to him by a fellow student at Oakland. Like i told him laughter is good for the soul. Btw UGA fans praised his performance on dawgvent
