You once declared Guarantano had elite speed, faster than Dobbs when you saw him outrun a bunch of high school kids on film....... why doesn't the same apply to Stevens?
He didn't have a bad game. I never said that. In fact I would say he was the most DOMINANT player out there. But that doesn't matter. This is high school. 99% of the kids on that field will never play past that point. Dominating a high school game is meaningless.
What I try to look for when watching a kid play high school competition is TRANSFERABLE SKILLS. Is what he's doing out there going to translate to the next level? I personally just don't see it with Jacoby. He lacks the EXPLOSIVENESS to be elite at the SEC level. IMO he looks like a SLOW plodding athlete. Not suited for a position like DB or WR. Compared to average high school kids, it doesn't matter. Against SEC level competition, he'll get exposed.
Javonta Payton, however, did show a transferable skill. His ELITE EXPLOSIVENESS. The kid has incredible speed, acceleration, and agility. Along with a nice frame that you could develop. Unlike Jacoby who looks fully developed and is probably closer to his ceiling, Payton has a ways to go to fill his frame out which leads me to believe he has an even higher ceiling.
IMO Javonta Payton has the potential to be a slightly shorter Justin Hunter.
Cause Guarantano showed a pop that Jacoby doesn't.
I don't know why yall act this way. I would assume its easy to see there is a difference in speed when a guy like Javonta Payton runs versus Jacoby Stevens.
Its just obvious.
Lol.
So Jarrett showed "a pop" vs his highschool kids who are 5'10 and run 5.5 but Jacoby didn't against his highschool players who are 5'10 and run 5.5......even though the result was the same. You're too much.
As unimpressive as the first time I saw his highlight mix.
I will never understand how this kid is rated as a 5 star prospect. He's not explosive at all.
Javonta Payton looks so much better than him on ESPNU right now.
I hope you know this happens every year. 5 star recruits ALWAYS bust.
It would not be unusual for all those teams to miss on a prospect. See Byron Cowart. The former #1 overall recruit that can't see the field at Auburn.
Lol.

KB its no need to argue he's not a UT recruit so he stinks is over rated and didn't impact the game lolllllll 😂😂😂😂😂😂 4 catces 92 yds 2 tds and 2 ints who knows tkls etc but last wk many were praising 5 catches for 87 yds and no tds. Wow I'm done seking logic here

Stevens hasn't played a down yet, how's he a bust?
Cowart? He played in all 13 games as a true FR, how's that not seeing the field? You declaring a true SO a bust, with that SO year still to come is laughable.
Yes, there are over-evaluations time to time but few are predictable or staffs wouldn't jump in. I think you're the only one who believes you actually see a recruit for his true colors while 37 staffs are wrong.
