Three-star defensive tackle Theo Jackson of Nashville’s Overton High School worked at cornerback during the camp, and sources said he backed up the Vols’ high opinion of him with a strong performance. Tennessee has talked with Jackson about playing any of a few different positions in the secondary, but his impressive length and solid athleticism could give him a chance to play cornerback if he ends up choosing the Vols. He said Tennessee still is his leader, with LSU and Vanderbilt also still in the mix, and he’s planning to return to Knoxville today to visit the Vols again. It’s safe to say Tennessee remains in the driver’s seat for Jackson, although he’s looking to take a few more visits. He said he doesn’t plan to make a decision until late July or early August.

This kids a player! Hope we get him. His length makes him an extremely good defender.

Not really happy about landing another 3 star player at this point. Would like us to get in on the higher rated guys. We are loaded down with 3 stars right now. Offer list not that impressive. LSU is the only team that stands out when you look at his list.

Well when we get a 4* out of state don't complain about in state guys not committing soon enough

I would much rather wait on the 4 star prospect from out of state than load up on the 3 star players. If we are going to keep up with the other SEC teams at the top it won't be with 3 star players.

It may be June but Alabama has 6 highly ranked 4 stars and 2 five star players committed. We are loading up on 3 star players. These classes are already taking shape and I don't like what I am seeing.

3 years running and still going strong. I guess there will always be a certain % of people never seem to learn.

Butch has recruited several 3 stars early every year, and then during the summer and fall, the bigger targets and higher ranked players start to sign.

Don't let prior history combined with reports from insiders that this class is going to be extremely strong sway you though. Keep on being a pessimist with some extremely poor abilities to notice the various signs in a given environment.

I bet you think you are one of the few realists though---classic denial.

Would you look at what Butch pulled together the last two weeks last year with limited numbers? Chill. If he knows how to do one thing it's evaluate talent and recruit. That's two things. Whatever

Having one of the greatest dynasties in college football history tends to have a positive impact on recruiting for a program. Even if said program is Alabama.

I'd go with the prior history, but if you rely on anyone claiming to be an insider on here then you'll be disappointed.
