I know I'm beating a dead horse, but I don't understand why these southern kids like Ohio State so much. You live in SEC country where the best college football is played. It's not like Ohio State has won anything since these kids have actually payed attention.

Me to. I don't understand it either. Hear more of it these days. Their is plenty of bandwagon teams in the south.....I dunno

I can only speak on what he told me last year--he's an Ohio State fan because he likes watching Braxton Miller play ball. So, he's not an actual OSU fan, just likes their QB.

Fandom is one of the most overrated angles in recruiting.

That's my hope. How could a young LB not love watching those two? I like our chances with him.

JRM is quickly becoming one of my favorite players. Sometimes I think there are more than one of him on the field. He seems to be everywhere.

I agree that we should be perennial SEC contenders but not sure if it will make recruiting easier.

When we have 5* & 4* recruits on the two deep roster, like Saban has at "O bama" then kids will not want to come here. They will want to go to a good team that has the prospect of immediate playing time.

Mark Ingram left, then he was replaced by Richardson, then Richardson left and was replaced by Lacy. Now Lacy left and is replaced by Derrick Henry. 4* after 4* after 4*.

If you want immediate playing time, then do as JuWuan James & Stone did. Do like Sutton did. Do like North did and go to a program with available starting spots.

Ya cause Alabama's recruiting has really fallen off a cliff...:good!:

I'm a senior at Beech and used to play football with this guy. This kid is an athletic freak. In his first day working out with the varsity players, this freshman came in and was repping more than some guys' max on almost every lift! That said, I think he'll grow quite a bit more and be a DE by the time he's deciding on a college. With Crabtree's workout system though, it's always a possibility that he could have a serious knee injury. Beech football has more knee injuries than any school in our area and it's all because of our workouts. But as long as he can stay away from that, I can see him being an incredible high school player and hopefully he picks the Vols when the time comes

Ole Miss DB coach Jason Jones is "in the area" and trying to get a meeting with Coach Crabtree today. My guess that it's related to Jacob Phillips.

Yes, obviously grades could end up being an issue here.

...and grades shouldn't be an issue. He's a good student.
