This kid holds some major offers and is being recruited hard by Oklahoma. Just got invited to 5* Challenge.

Jacob is a great kid with crazy athleticism and is very smart. He went to Columbus #RivalsCamp and excelled he was invited to the Rivals 100 also and made the Fab 15 defenders list.

I just like to see us take as much of the legit power 5 talent in the state as we can.

This is a logical statement. I don't necessarily agree with it, but I understand why people say it.

I'm all about getting the best in state talent too, unless you feel you can get someone better that happens to be from another state.

I want the best we can get, where ever they are from.

Well that's certainly true too. I doubt that alabubba fans fret over how many in state recruits they sign. I really hate to see elite in state kids go elsewhere though.

More CBs coming in for OU on this young man.

Ryan Callahan was asked about TN's interest in Phillips, and he felt that TN saw him as a future DE and not a real good fit at LB (at least in their scheme).

Released Top 5: Bama, LSU, OU, ND, and Oregon.

Hard to believe he fits those molds but not UT's.? Have to let the coaches coach, but is a head-scratcher.

Yeah not sure what happened here. I guess we either made a bad early evaluation which led to a less than aggressive recruitment or he doesn't fit what Shoop wants from linebackers. It does seem like we haven't recruited him like we did after Jancek was let go. I haven't watched him play but Shoop likes speed speed and more speed

Its possible that he just doesn't like Tennessee.

Maybe we are solid on Justin Foster?
