'17 TN LB Jacob Phillips

Ignont is a good LB that the coaches seem to really like. I don't know what the deal was with the staff not making Phillips a priority but they must have seen something that made him not a good fit here. Ignont is a great replacement with a lot of upside so what's the big issue here?

Sure sure I'm not saying Phillips isn't a monster, he is. Will start early in college. But with Ignont committed it's the closest thing to a wash we have so I can't really even be upset. For the longest time staff was convinced he wouldn't be a good fit in our scheme. He'll be a beast and this thread will be bumped after big games and when/if he gets drafted but I think we can likewise point to Ignont when he has success. For us it's scheme and fit and Ignont fits it perfectly

True..not doubt my thing is ignot came up well after we passed on Phillips or so it appears I just think we need more than 2 Elite mlb

No surprise that you'd find original, individualized thinking and discernment "dumb". Keep star-gazing and b!tching about Butch's recruiting though. Go find your safe space, kid.

Why couldnt Saban keep Ignot in Alabama? Its his most important recruiting area!

Wait you mean we too can go out of state and get elite kids that we feel better fit our system?

Smh

The only difference is that Butch is struggling to recruit out of state kids as well

Stud LB in our backyard and we don't get a sniff. Kids starts day 1 next year yet he goes to bayou bama to ride the pine.

Unreal. Thanks Butch.
