I hope it isn't true as I would hate to lose an in state kid of this caliber. They did text me last week and said he enjoyed his time at OSU/MI game.

What worries me is people know Butch is a lame duck coach. He likely won't be back after next year. That being said these players will have to commit to the University and not a particular coaching staff. Add in the fact our OL doesn't seem to be improving/developed properly I could see him looking elsewhere.

I respect your post, but Hubbs has been wrong on many recruits just as much as he's been right. The only difference is he finds out what happened AFTER the fact.

Bama is also not out of it. I'd have to place us 3rd or maybe even 4th after what's happened to us this season. If he doesn't put as much into it like us fans in which he seems not to have then it might not have much affect on him.

He could still end up being a Vol. We sure don't have long to wait & I'm already anxious waiting on him to decide on 12-6-16.

Just talked to Jack Peel at USJ. Butch was there yesterday but Trey Smith's uncle told their head coach last night that Trey was going to Ohio State. Brian Kelly was there Monday and Trey let him know wasn't coming to Notre Dame. Huge Freeze will be there at noon today.

I guess this weekend will tell. If he's decided and is telling coaches, I wouldn't expect him to show this weekend. If he does OV after the in home this week then I don't think he's truly decided.

Edit: Or to be optimistic, he's decided on Tennessee. That's my vote. :)

Hubbs, Fortenberry, Brice, and Callahan have all acknowledged they have momentum today. He apparently had a great OV to OSU last weekend.

Trey won't come here even with the sister at UT. He will go to a winning program. UT is like Ancient Rome, great at one time but now in ruins.

Let's take the orange tinted glasses off for a second. Let's pretend we aren't UT fans. You have 2 schools who are playoff bound year in and year out with proven coaches and players being put in the NFL yearly and being developed right. You also know those coaches aren't going anywhere. Then you have another school with a coach who is on the hot seat, that may not be there except for one more season, coaches who apparently have trouble developing talent, and a team that is consistently underachieving considering the talent. If I wasn't a die hard UT fan I'd go to Bama or OSU too.

Hurts from a PR standpoint. Won't be because they haven't put in the effort there. I also believe that we could finish outside of the top 15 this year and rebound big time with the right assistant hires and better results next year. I'm not entirely convinced on the results but I do think we will see some really good recruiters/developers hired."
