'17 TN OL/DT Trey Smith (UT commit 12/6/2016)

Three 5* recruits in-state this year and we're going to miss all of them. Butch has gone full Dooley. No longer putting in the effort. AD or no AD, we can't afford another year of him.

I think he's probably putting in the same effort, he just doesn't have anything to sell at this point. After 4 years, he's been exposed.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter. Regardless, it's unacceptable to miss on every top target in state.

Amen to that post. Doesn't matter why it's happening either. It shouldn't happen at all. Something isn't right with this coaching staff & in-state recruting awfully bad.

I don't post in here much and I don't claim to be an insider but I know for a fact Butch and Debord were in Jackson yesterday visiting Trey and his family. I do know this he is not high on Bama because of the way they treated him on his visit. Would not allow him to see locker room and told him he could not go in there. According to people around his parents he is coming here but that's just hear say.

Ohio State definitely has some momentum with Smith going into his visit to Knoxville this weekend. I've been hearing a lot of buzz about the Buckeyes over the past few days. I think it's fair to say Tennessee has some work to do this weekend if it wants to land him.

-Callahan speak for OSU leads

We are the blind, 3legged mutt with a severe drooling issue at the pound. We want to hope it's us this time, but we know it's better to just go lay back down.

We once were the clear cut leader. We have the last visit. We are in state. We have the sister. No reason why we can't regain the lead after this weekend and get this kid committed. If we didn't have the OV I would think it's over but we do and that means a lot.

When I take off my orange tinted glasses, I don't blame Trey one bit if he chooses Bama or Ohio State. They both compete for championships year in year out and send multiple players to the league yearly. Jones doesn't have much to sell at this point. Fair or not, Butch has the media that bashes him at every turn, a season under his belt where high expectations were not met, and an uncertain future at UT. He very well may be fired after next season. What big time recruit wants to jump into that situation?

Losing to Vanderbilt doesn't sit well with in-state players. Couple that with rumors of Butch looking to run probably will be the the straw that breaks the camels back for this recruiting class.

Also, Urban is not above hiring the sister to OSU. He's proven that's not a problem. Wouldn't be surprised that Urban said we'll just bring your sister up here.
