'17 TN OL/DT Trey Smith (UT commit 12/6/2016)

I don't care what it's called in reality we refer to it as Jackson High School around here. It's not a different school to us buddy.

Like the poster above says there are several schools around there. I just don't like the "U" because it's not a University. It's a high school. :p

My bad. I thought you liked being correct and having your facts straight. Clearly I was mistaken

Ha! Ha! Funny Funny! :):p Thanks for correcting what I already knew anyhow!

You didn't already know it. You are acting like you did to save face. Even though the thought process you are using to justify your comment is completely non-sensical.

And now you will play the victim card to deflect.

I did already know what high school he went to but I just never put "University" with it since it's a high school so I've just called his school Jackson High School.

My goodness! Let it go. Please dude! Speaking of the victim card & being aggravating on top of it that's you! Trying to argue over something so minor & stupid. I already knew it & could care less if you believe it or not. Some people! :eek:hmy:

I just hope we get an OL coach who can actually develop 5-star talent. We all got worked up over Drew Richmond coming here and he was extremely mediocre this year after having an entire year as a redshirt to learn the offense, build strength, and mature.

I know it's still early but it's hard for it not to be a bitter pill to swallow when he doesn't show out like people predicted. So yeah, landing Trey is important tomorrow, but what is even MORE important is Butch inevitably selecting the right OL coach to actually make us have an OL worth a damn and not swiss cheese.

It is finally that time for Trey Smith. The five-star offensive tackle out of Jackson (Tenn.) University School of Jackson will make his decision Tuesday December 6. He has some guessing right now on the school he will choose. He is fresh off his official visit to the in-state Tennessee Volunteers, and they are considered to be the leader. Ohio State had him on campus last week and that went very well, so the Buckeyes are viewed as a contender. Alabama is also considered to be a true contender in this race, and Mississippi was the first school to offer him, he took his first official visit to Oxford (Miss.), and the Rebels are trying to hang around as well. Right now, it appears to be down to Alabama, Ohio State and Tennessee with some big in-home visits coming Monday. We will all find out who wins out for another five star early enrollee Tuesday afternoon around 4:30pm ET on ESPN.-Scout

It's common practice to have high schools named "university" when they are adjacent to or have an affiliation with a high school of learning.

No one with a clue predicted d Richmond to be an immediate contributor. It was clear he was raw but very talented coming out of HS

That being said he started to play much better late. As a RSFR I think he is coming along just fine. I expect he will be an effective SEC starter as a sophomore. That is just fine development

Jackson High School does not exist, in Jackson, TN at least. I was trying to inform you of that in order to help you. You got defensive, as you do. You obviously do not care about the actual name of the school, which is fine.

Having said that, I will continue to correct you (and others) when you post false information if I know that information to be false. Some people follow this board to get facts about recruiting, so I will help with that when I can.

I SAID IT'S WHAT I CALL IT! That's my business dude! You can't tell me what I can or can't do. If I want to call if Jackson High School that's what I will call it. Take it or leave it!

I agree. There's a few of them but I didn't have them mixed up like the poster was claiming. :good!:

Even if you didn't have them mixed up, by knowingly calling the school the wrong name, you might mix up other posters.

You pride yourself on bringing info to this board, and that's great. Just make sure your info is correct.

You're never going to win this. I know it's hard but you must be strong. Do not engage!

Eh, I'm bored.

But seriously, I just went back and read what started all this. He clearly didn't know the school was called USJ, which is fine, but why lie about it.

It doesn't matter. He could be drowning in a raging river with you trying to save him and he'd want to argue that he wasn't wet.
