'17 TN OL/DT Trey Smith (UT commit 12/6/2016)

Yeah, but none of that changes the fact that Butch is the coach and can only offer a championship of life ring along with really early playing time. lol

Oh look. Another life champion joke. We have not had any of those over here this week. For the love of all that is holy, why do some of you have to fall all over yourselves to try to make it so that the rest of us who do not lead miserable lives won't enjoy what we think is going to be good news tomorrow. Good gravy.

We don't do particularly well in the Memphis public school system. Outide of that, west TN has been quite favorable to us, Jackson in particular. Al Wilson, Daniel Brooks, Drae Bowles (all from Jackson), Chad Clifton, Will Ofenheusle, all from west TN. There isn't a ton of legit SEC-level talent between Memphis public and Nashville, but we get more of the guys that we want than we lose.

Please do not try to confuse these people with factual information. They can't handle the truth if it does not fit their agenda.

Would be interested in a comparison of Tennessee vs Bama OL in the NFL currently. Bama has had a bucketload drafted...highly too...just not excelling at the next level. They get a Chance Warmack drafted higher than we do Juan James...but James is better. Does Tennessee get a checkmark for that from recruits...or are they even aware? I can see raw numbers impressing most recruits...and they obviously have for Bama...5 stars for miles and miles. But if the occasional one does research, does possibly waiting for two seasons in a five star factory trump opportunity and exposure as a possible first year fixture at a school that has produced several high level current NFL starters?
I dont think its that complex. Alabama offers a chance to play for National Championships each year and exposure of your name, regardless of how good you really are. Tennessee is a laughing stock within its own state, that consistently field poorly coached players. And the Trump card, Alabamas bagmen will outbid everyone for someone they really want and if the Head Coach is coming to see you right before your commitment, id say they want you.

Eh, I'm bored.

But seriously, I just went back and read what started all this. He clearly didn't know the school was called USJ, which is fine, but why lie about it?

Well, he did say that HE refers to it as Jackson High School around his family and friends. They have no clue what school he's talking about, but that's what he calls it.

After his official visit to Tennessee over the weekend, Smith returned home last night and prepared for the final push that included a full slate of visitors today. Nick Saban arrived at University School of Jackson right about ten o'clock this morning. While he was running a little bit behind schedule, it was Urban Meyer rolling in early as the two overlapped each other with the Ohio State head boss arriving around 20 minutes after Saban did. That put Meyer and an OSU assistant waiting in an office for over an hour. Meyer would get his time with Smith and would depart in the early afternoon hours

It would be Tennessee that would get the final chat with Smith as Mike Debord, Don Mahoney and Tommy Thigpen went to work. The Smith family didn't want to host coaches in their home and that's why all of the visits took place at the high school. Now when did Tennessee roll out of Jackson? That remains unclear

Tennessee has done everything hing they can and appears to be in good shape going into the final hours before Smith makes his college selection

Seriously, go to the Bama board since you like to brag about them. Never seen so many supposedly Vol fans talk shiz about the team and especially the coaches!!
