'17 TN OL/DT Trey Smith (UT commit 12/6/2016)

Highlight OT Trey Smith is one imposing figure at 6-foot-5, 300 pounds. He has shown a solid base in pass protection, and has been a wall at LT.He's currently committed to Tennessee.
Certainly holding his own out here in Central Florida.

From Chad Simmons:
Tennessee commit Trey Smith has been an impressive OL. Shooting hands and moving feet well.

So they might put him in the top 100 now?

Yeah! It's ridiculous isn't it? I do believe he's now ranked #22nd overall from Scout now believe it or not. He's #1 overall from ESPN & #26th overall from 247 Sports composite. That's an average of just over #16th overall between the 3 services. Crazy!

I expect Farrel to double down on his stance. In a few years, no one will remember or care how his opinion on Trey turned out.

This guy is such an awesome offensive lineman. Richmond coming in had questions, but this guy is quick, and he has quick hands as well. He will be outstanding!

Named the #5 most important recruit.

5. Trey Smith, Tennessee – Speaking of versatile offensive linemen, Smith could play guard or tackle and, with the Vols offensive line struggles this past season, he could be a plug and play guy. I think Smith will play inside most of his career but his ceiling is certainly high and right tackle isn’t out of the question.-Scout
