'17 TN OL/DT Trey Smith (UT commit 12/6/2016)

They had to move Wiesman to C because Thomas wasn't playing up to par.Hopefully Thomas plays better next year.

IMO on next years line:

LT: Richmond-Tatum
RT: Kendrick-Smith
LG: Robertson-Boulware
RG: Jones-Hall
C: Thomas-Jones

Smith and Hall will be interchangeable at guard and right tackle

Yeah true as well. Totally forgot about that. Still looks good though. I think maybe Locklear plays center here in the future.

I could see that. I like our o-line class this year. I think you have a couple road graters and a great athlete in Smith.

Unless Kendrick declares he is the starting RT next year and Richmond is the starting LT. I can see Smith pushing for playing time at RG if he doesn't redshirt.

Could you imagine him red shirting and we have an OL with he and Cade Mays for multiple years?

Ya in my perfect world we would redshirt every freshman lineman that comes through. They have so much they have to learn with technique, footwork, the offense and have to get stronger at the same time that's a lot to do.

With Hall and Jones already being in college for 3 years it will be hard to replace them on the right side.Kendrick want beat a healthy Hall or Jones out.

Agree. We should not be hoping that a freshman starts at OL. That's rarely a good thing. Id say he replaces Robertson at LG in 2018 after he graduates. What does Mays project as? He's a guard as well at the next level, isn't he? With Trey and Mays at LG Andrew RG, every RB in the country should want to come here

They get to lift the whole season as well which helps them get SEC ready by second year.
