'17 TN OL/DT Trey Smith (UT commit 12/6/2016)

And before anybody starts blasting me for saying that. If a kid keeps going to a school that is a known bunch of cheaters. Then he either doesn't care what anybody thinks about taking money, or he is just stupid for not understanding the consequences.

For the record, I don't think its because Smith is stupid.

By October, after OM has lost to FSU, Bama, LSU and possibly UGA or Arky, they'll probably offer up a bowl ban, too, as another sign of their great sorrow and sacrifice.

They already self-imposed a bowl ban . . . in women's basketball. Just to show how serious they are about taking responsibility and all.

People keep saying stuff like this, but it sure did not impact Alabama or USC when they were being investigated or were on probation.

They suffered from lack of bodies, but certainly did not suffer from lack of talent.

Bama got into trouble starting in 1995. Follow their record from 1995 to around 2006 and see if it didn't hurt.

As I plainly said, they were hurt by loaf numbers (Scholarship losses) during those years. But, they were still able to recruit great players. Just not as many as normal.

That is the reason that Saban was able to come in in 2007 and have a tough year , but be back in the hunt for a title in 2008. He did not have to rebuild, just add some more talent.

Ole Miss is not Alabama. I think something like that would hurt Ole Miss a lot more. Unfortunately, Alabama is a historic powerhouse where Mississippi is definitely not.
