'17 TN OT Obinna Eze (Memphis commit)

ESPN calls Debord "Tennessee's second OL coach" since he's been here the play has improved

I wish we still had Harry Hiestand. We never should have let him get away...

The only thing I remember about him is his interviews. Something about the inflection in his voice. Every answer he gave always sounded like he was asking a question.

Example (not taken from a real interview):

Reporter: How's the O line looking this year

HH: We're still trying to get healthy?

It was weird and funny at the same time. Maybe somebody else knows what I'm talking about.

I agree but I'm not sure he fits as well in the context of our type of offense. He could probably do it, but he's definitely more suited to pro-style schemes.

Maybe he was hired to make the offense better and has already accomplished that? :dunno:

he should but like all coaches some guys have their guys and refuse to let them go for whatever reason. This iswhat got Fulmer fired

Or the Clawson/Cutcliffe trade? :dunno: I think your analysis is a lil off...if it's not readily apparent. Maybe stick to shots at our recruits who didn't attend your camp? More your strength.

It was that trade off too, but its a known fact that CPF had guys he held on to way too long and it helped the firing process. Also it never bothers me who does or doesnt attend our camps.

I believe it was more due to a shift in recruiting. He started going solely for highest star rating without really RECRUITING the kids and finding out about them. Team cohesion slipped and when he didn't land top RATED recruits, his backup plans were kinda stabs in the dark. Still fuzzy on the guys that Fulmer SHOULD have fired that were there til the end. Went over Cut and Chavis would be an odd choice for your point. Randy Sanders? Fired. Went through some OL coaches at the end. I think you were trying to draw a parallel to Butch that would have failed on it's own merit. Mahoney and Azzani are everyone's whipping boys, but he's replaced both coordinators and upgraded at TE coach. Seems like you're in a hurry to get that opinion out before Butch's hires make you look foolish (more). And I don't buy your blasé claim about your camp attendees or lack thereof. Common denominator of a number of your targets of derision are suspiciously absent from your camp roster. It's human to be a little petty...we got your back. :huggy:
