'17 TN RB Cordarrian Richardson (Clemson commit)

HJ - The gift that keeps taking? Need to get a TN commit here to help recruit against Johnson, Rogers and now Richardson - who are going to be working guys hard.

Looks like Rogers was working Richardson pretty hard during the Clemson visit. That sucks to have TN guys recruiting TN guys to go somewhere else.

It's put up or shut up time for Butch. These kids want results and all Tennessee can sell right now is potential. We need a big year on the field...

Butch has plenty to sell. 5-7, 7-6, and 9-4 is good coaching. It's not potential at all. Let them go to Clemson and play in the ACC. UT will continue to play a great schedule and have a great atmosphere. We will be fine.

Yes it does happen a lot in GA, but they have an abundance of talent in that state to overcome this and still get their fair share.

And this year, we have a ton of talent in our state. Richardson never seemed very interested in us to begin with. We're fine right now

I wanted Richardson and Chandler but I think Chandler is the better of the 2. Still a long time to get Richardson back in the fold though.

I think we'll get a couple of top quality RBs in this class. CR committing to Clemson at this point in the game does not rustle my jimmies in the slightest.

It may sound crazy but, I was never impressed by Richardson. His team play inferior competition in class 2A.

Not surprised

I'm not surprised either, but unlike Amari Rodgers (who was never coming to UT) this one hurts. Clemson and Ole Miss are openly targeting TN for talent and they are obviously succeeding. Butch and our staff need to show recruiting results for '17, and now. With Higgins' decom, Rodgers' Clemson pledge, and now Richardson gone; this is starting to look like a landslide. Per 247, there are eight blue chip ( 4* or better) recruits in TN this year. A quarter are gone....Higgins is very shaky, and none of the rest seem to be elbowing others out of the way to get to Ktown. We need some high grade pledges and some peer recruiting.

Not as worried after he made it clear TN wasn't really talking to too him much. It only sucks because of othe relationships and perception. It seems as TN is more focused on Chandler/Akers as it should be. Chandler better fit but I would have gladly take both of these guys.

If you want the instate kids to value staying instate you can't skip years recruiting the state. Its just not going to work. Lots of high 3* and 4* TN kids were passed on or ignored altogether in the 2016 class. Thinking it wasn't going to play a negative role in future instate recruiting was naive. I think we are seeing it now.

Stale, irrelevant argument is stale and irrelevant.

Chandler just told AU 247 that Auburn is at the top right now but he's still on his visit high. I'm sure Ole Miss and Tn are pressing.

Yeah I mean I would think he would be worth a take regardless. But the way people were talking about him on here I thought his highlights would resemble Jalen Hurds. They very much do not.

The in state losses do sting though. But RB talent will find its way here.

I just don't think this has anything to do w where we at with or ar

I think we will still get th and at would have always been a tough pull

We'll get 4 of the top 8 end up with a top 10 class and everyone will forget where we were in March

Nope. Keep trying to push this failed train of thought though.
