Meh, Richardson is good but there's other running backs in this class that I like better that we're still in the running for.

My opinion:

Butch's honeymoon stage is over. That, combined with the recent terrible PR is severely hurting us. We MUST go to ATL this year. If we don't, I don't see it getting much better in recruiting. The pieces are in place. Represent the East for the SEC or else there will be rumblings on the hill. This is Butch Jones biggest year and best chance by far, he HAS to win.

Sounded like usual doom and gloom to me

BTW losing Richardson isn't a huge loss especially w Chandler and Akers in the mix. Memphis may as well be in a different state being so far from Knoxville.

Richardson in Clemson's offense is a perfect match.

I wish he had more interest in us.

But if we get Chandler and Akers, then we are plenty fine.
Leake with Chandler would also work.

Tee Higgins is the player we absolutely cannot lose.

If we get chandler and cam Akers then I'll be okay but if we lose Trey Smith or Higgins to Clemson then there will be some problems.

No. Clemson is just not at the disadvantage they should be vs the state school. The kids don't feel UT is recruiting TN talent like the state school should be EVERY year. Clemson is playing for titles. UT isn't, yet. I think UTs staff ignoring recruiting instate like they did in 2016 just eliminates the slight advantage(being the state school) they had going forward. I've said it before. It's tough to sell, "stay home and play for the state school", when the UT coaches were nowhere to be found during the previous class. Some say it's irrelevant. Recruiting currently sure doesn't look like recruits feel it's irrelevant.

Didn't "skip" it...knew it was window dressing. As far as expecting anything? I know your schtick. It would be worth the personal pain of shutting the program down to see the "Reality shades" warriors scramble at something to worry wart about. Drama department funding maybe? :shades:

Would you agree this is likely Butch's best shot he will have here in the near past and future? And he needs to prove he can capitalize on the talent he has to keep the momentum?
