Tons of Tennessee fans in Memphis. I don't even like the city and never lived there but you guys are wrong.

Things that are guaranteed in life: death, taxes, and arguing about the city of Memphis when recruiting a Memphis kid.

Yes, there are many UT fans in Memphis and especially in surrounding suburbs and counties.

We should probably organize a rescue mission. I hear that place sucks.

Haha. Been here 30 years. Currently raising 3 kids in a school district that was named among the state's 12 Exemplary Districts and specifically a school that has annually been named among the top high schools in the country. It doesn't suck that much. :)

You guys do realize it is no longer 1986 in Memphis, right?
It's not the city it was 30 years ago.

We live in the heart of the city, Mid Town, and absolutely love it.

I've lived in the Tri-Cities, I've lived in Knoxville, and spent plenty of time in Nashville. Wouldn't leave Memphis for any of them.

Except on Saturdays in the fall.... :)

Come on down and join the fun Mr. Richardson.

That QB we got needs someone to hand the ball to when his arm gets tired and that receiver needs someone to block for.

Would only make sense for him to go ahead verbal to the Vols today.

Noway I think this happens but we can dream right?

I think Richardson would be a great addition to our backfield in the 2017 class. Hurd probably will (and should) leave after 3 seasons, so adding another power back would really balance out our backfield.

Watched Big Baby Saturday against Craigmont.. Nothing really to report but he ran for I believe 134 yds.. He looked good.. He tweeted his ankle and was in and out.. I want this kid also.. Big kid and can run.. I didn't get a chance to holler at his coach, I grew up with him.. But I know Coach G is on him...

Memphis recruits give me heartburn. You never know what's going to happen, and always some drama involved or Ole Miss Bama and Auburn causing shiz. But normally UT has to fight of a bunch of haters.
the commenter earlier asking if it was real life because a Memphis kid grew up a UT fan, really how it seems to be. Consider the era he grew up with too.

Lived in Midtown (is Memphis) for 25 years before I came back to Nashville in 2010. Loved Midtown.

Tee Higgins and Hunter Johnson were my 2 biggest wants in the 2017 class.

Richardson is #3 on that list.. So I hope Butch can pull this kid. He is a monster.

He's my biggest won't left on the board on offense. Gibbs is by far my biggest want though.

New UGA Target had eye on Gurley.

Many have had their eye on Todd Gurley while he rose to stardom playing between the hedges at the University of Georgia. Gurley was the first back chosen in the NFL Draft last month and new Georgia target knows that...

Georgia's Tracy Rocker recently spent time in Tennessee recruiting for the Dawgs and one school he stopped by was Memphis (Tenn.) Trezevant.
That is home to four-star running back Cordarrian Richardson. He is a pretty big name now that will only get bigger, but before the offers were rolling in, he was identified by Scout as one of the best in 2017.
The 2017 running back is thick, strong, explosive, and a back that can stay on the field and play in different systems. His latest offer came from Georgia and it was a "big" offer for the 5-foot-11.5, 222 pound four-star.
He had already had offers from Alabama, LSU, and Tennessee, among others, but Georgia is one he was waiting for.
Todd Gurley was a big part of that.
"I watched every game that Todd Gurley played at Georgia," said Richardson. "I love his game on the field. He really caught my attention his sophomore year.
"When I first saw him, I thought he might be a regular guy, but as I saw him throughout the season, I thought he was going to be great."

Richardson was right; Gurley turned out to be great. He was selected No. 10 by the St. Louis Rams in the NFL Draft. Richardson sees a little of Gurley in his own game.
"I somewhat compare my game to Gurley's because I am a great downhill runner and I have great speed. I think my game relates to his in those areas."
The new Bulldog target has yet to step foot on the UGA campus, but because of Gurley, he has real interest in the Dawgs. Richardson likes all schools "the same" right now, but this one really caught his attention.
Not only does one of the top 2017 running backs like how UGA used Gurley, but he likes the system the Dawgs run on offense. He hopes to visit this summer.

Coming from the staff that didn't offer Dobbs or Cam Sutton out of high school..
I laugh every time I see the words scouting, and UGA in the same sentence.

5-10, 220-pound running back Cordarrian Richardson is a typical LSU back, in that he seeks contact, and is ideal for a power running game. The Tigers sit atop his leader board, with Alabama currently posing the biggest threat for the Memphis, Tennessee native. A source close to Richardson states that he is likely to make an early decision, "around the spring or so", and he is looking at Baton Rouge as a possible destination.
