'17 TN RB Cordarrian Richardson (Clemson commit)

That's not good because I'm pretty sure Rodgers is gonna declare for Clemson.

Yea, sadly I think he will too. Rodgers has also said once he commits he's not decommitting again. Maybe he will surprise us though!

It would be a shame to lose top instate talent

Unfortunately not every kid just has that burning desire to play for the instate school. Now that we're getting so much talent in state this is gonna start happening more and more. Just think how SOL we would be if every good kid in Georgia wanted to be a Georgia bulldog. Sucks to lose out on such talent but it is what it is. As long as we take care of business this upcoming season we'll do fine in recruiting in and out of state.

GA has triple the talent too.

All elite players in Alabama stay home and go to the barn or bammer.

I wish our guys had the same desire. We need to make it to ATL.

Did he say he wasn't interested anymore? If not he is just trying to enjoy the recruitment process. He will be in Knoxville singing rocky top soon enough.

What makes you confident?

His family want him to be from what I understand. I think he just wants to erase any doubt and enjoy the process. Clemson is a threat, obviously, but I just feel confident in the end Butch keeps Higgins in state. Butch has a good track record of keeping top guys in state so far. So I have no reason to doubt him. Especially on a guy that has made it clear he's still very into UT.

Ok then!

I wish these kids would stop teasing us. Especially the elite talent

You guys are pathetic. It's only teasing if you feel you own them and where they want to go to school.

These kids don't live to please you. Let them enjoy themselves and make the best decision for their future.

I've never understood the enjoyment factor of perceived indecision.

Me neither..a phrase I wish I would never hear again.."enjoy the process" ..you have no idea how bad I hate that saying.

Eh, kids only get to be recruited once. I can understand a 17-19 year old kid (especially if he comes from a family without much money) wanting to fully enjoy 5 free trips to different schools/CFB games around the country and getting wined and dined.

They're really at the last stage of their football career when they can kick back and enjoy things without having to worry about too much criticism from fans, coaches, media, etc. Once they get to campus, it's work, work, work with a side of scrutiny almost every step of the way.

I'll never fault a kid for doing things on his own time and trying to get everything out of the process he can. It can be frustrating as a fan, but not everybody lives to please me or other UT fans. In fact, the overwhelming majority of people don't. It's just a perspective thing.

Being recruited is fun. Not all are indecisive. Some just enjoy the process. I was never recruited in a sport, but I was recruited coming out of college by several companies. And it was fun going to all the dinners and parties trying to figure out where I wanted to be. Sure I had an idea early where I wanted to go but why make a decision early? I took my time till there was the deadline to make a decision.

I don't fault these kids for taking their time as well.
