'17 TN RB Ty Chandler (UT signee)

Rewatching the game, Barnett was literally held nearly every snap. That is not an exaggeration. These weren't holds that were hard to recognize either. They were blatant holds right in front of the officials and not one was called. It was almost like they agreed before the game to not call holds. He was tackled on 2 or 3 plays with no call, horse collared twice with no call, unbelievable how bad that officiating was to ignore those obvious holds. Without them Barnett may have had 5 sacks. He was dominating

Barnett owned #64 all night lol. I mean he owned him to the point I was embarrassed for the young man.

Has there been any updates from the week of practice. I feel like there is less news from the army game than the under armor game

New article on Scout if someone can summarize.

New as in yesterday? If that's the one you're talking about then all he talks about is his firm commitment to UT. He said he's sticking with UT amid what other recruits may sometimes want to change their choice of schools.

He's solid with UT & isn't going anywhere. He also said the changing of OC has nothing to do with changing his mind either.

It doesn't matter who we get because he's still going to be a Vol 100%. He said he's looking forward to being at UT & getting his college career started. That's basically it but not word for word. Thanks!

Video breakdown on Rivals from Josh Helmholdt talking about Chandler in this week of practice at the Army Bowl...Josh said Chandler is that "change of pace back this week", very explosive, home run threat from the backfield, shown his catching ability as well, one of the fastest players on the east team and had a good week of practice.

With talk of how fast he is it leads me to believe that he is a lot like Kamara. Is he a little more powerful though?

I personally see him as a Kamara clone...especially hearing that he catches the ball well...I'm sure he'll put on the weight he needs and be a similar size to kamara as well

Hope he gets enoug carries but I got a feeling they will play Akers and Swift most of the time because of their ranking

I'm watching. QB out of Hawaii and RB Harris are both #1s in the nation and committed to Alabama. It will be interesting to see Chandler play. We definitely need some new RB blood behind Kelly. I'll post updates.

I didn't see an Army All American Bowl thread so assume I update here. Didn't realize there were musicians involved in this activity. Hey, they sound great! Love the Star Spangled Banner.

247 has Bama, Ohio State and UGA in top three with 300 level scores. UT at #11, second in SEC east, 26 commits, a composite score of 236. LSU, A&M, and Auburn just above us and USCe just below us. Given where we were with Dooley, factor in needs, and Tennessee trying to build itself back to NC level, I believe CBJ doing a pretty good job. He has been a solid closer, and we could use a solid close this year. Ok Mr Chandler...show em what you got.

Sad watching this game and we only have one commit playing and no one declaring is considering us. I remember watching this and seeing DKjr and Kyle Phillips and KMac and others and being excited about watching our guys play. Butch has to get recruiting back to the top again if he wants to win here.

For young kids, perception is huge. For recruiting, a solid pool of in state recruits. The year we got Hurd and Malone, it was huge for us. We beat UGA and UF but, they have a bigger pool of players to pull from. Agree, CBJ is going to have to prove he can win on the field and at recruiting against LSU, UGA, UF, BAMA, and out of conference folks Georgia Tech, Iowas, Virginia Techs on a consistent basis.

Ok...East has the ball.
